We stayed at the Westin for two weeks prior to a big move, and we were so so pleased with everything about the hotel. Along with our young son, we were made to feel very welcome every day in all of the facilities--restaurant, lobby, pool, etc. Being an Alexandria local, I liked the hotel's location, as it was a quieter and more business-oriented area rather than the more high-traffic and retail-oriented options on King Street. Whole Foods is an easy walk, as were a ton of decent restaurants and King Street, so the location is no sacrifice. Definitely recommend.

The Westin Alexandria is a 5Star+ hotel that offers every amenity a hotel guest requires. The hotel is 4 years old, and is part of a new well appointed business development in the newly rebuilt Courthouse Square district of the city. The hotel provides free shuttle service to the historic water-front on the Potomac. While a guest at the hotel on New Years Eve of 2011, the lobby was staffed with extra staff to include the hotel’s General Manager to help every guest realize all of their plans to bring in the New Year.

The rooms are well appointed and the choice of packages for guests encompasses every need. Come stay at the hotel and enjoy a wonderful DC experience. The property will not disappoint.

Stayed at this Westin for a week on buisness. Please let me preface this "review" with the fact that I got sick on the second night of my stay, NOT due to anything whatsoever in or around the hotel, it was a reaction to the food at an Olde Town restaurant that lasted 4 days. Anyway, this hotel was very clean and had nice amenities and a great bed once I got comfortable. I did have 2 issues though. Number one would be parking. I drove down from PA and the only option to park my company car was to use the valet or park on the street. Since I was being reimbursed I used the valet, but I think on a family trip I would opt to find a spot myself, which I would find inconvenient. The other issue I had was the noise from adjoining rooms. Tuesday night the person next door was in and out at least 6 times between 11 pm and midnight and let the door slam every single time. The people in that same room were quite loud on Thursday night and let's just say they were having a very good time. Earilier that evening I could even hear the person she was talking to on her cell phone in speaker mode. Not sure if the fact that they were connecting rooms made the noises that much louder. But other than those quirks I did find the hotel quite nice and in a place where I wasn't affraid to walk anywhere around the neighborhood.

Hotel is great place, the staff was incredibly friendly and the room was clean & very nice. However, there is no free wifi in the rooms, only in the hotel lobby. The gym was currently "Under Construction"; however the hotel made nice accommodations for the guests to work out. I did not eat in the restaurant and breakfast was not included.

I'd stay there again.
