We stayed only because we were exhausted and nothing else was available. There was no hot water until morning, crap on the walls, filthy upholstery on fold out sofa and boarded up areas in bath and kitchen area. The only thing I can say is the sheets appeared clean and although we couldn't get the washcloths we needed we did sleep there. We couldn't get out early enough in the morning. The room was nearly $150 and when we booked online months earlier the pictures we saw were not at all what we got. Will never stay near there again and won't even recommend it for dogs.

They advertise that they allow dogs, but when we showed up, they interrogated us about our dogs' behavior, size, noise level, etc. They were not friendly. The bathroom was too small to be functional. This is a $30 a night motel, and they charged us $130. Not impressed.

Do not stay here! Our room was overpriced, and gross! Do NOT stay here, it is a total rip off for the money they charge! Even if were CHEAP, or free, it would be a total rip-off!

I spent months carefully planning our first trip to New Hampshire and Maine. I had all rooms reserved ahead of time. However, on the trip back I was unable to do this because we weren't sure of departure time or length of travel in one day. In Vermont, I began calling and looking for rooms at various motels and hotels (some chains, some local). All prices were quoted well above 160.00 and some rose close to 230.00. We could not see paying that price for a bed for one night. We got off the main road and found the Yankee Village Inn at 75.00. I was worried because of the low price. It wasn't fancy but it was clean and worked for getting a good night's sleep before moving on. We were lucky to get the room because some reunion had filled up the motel. The young lady at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. This worked for us in a pinch.
