“Romantic escape and five-star dining!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

My husband and I received a gift certificate to West Mountain Inn for our wedding from my in-laws and just had the opportunity to experience this get-away this past weekend. We were both pleasantly surprised. The place is beautiful and super romantic! We spent the daylight hours skiing at Bromley...which is about a 25 minute drive, then spent the remaining hours of our stay in and around the Inn. Let me just say....we are both New Yorkers and have been to some incredible restaurants to eat in and around Manhattan.....yet the breakfasts and dinners served here were some of the best we've ever had. The chef is amazing....filling breakfasts that kept us on the slopes all day, followed by romantic five course meals in the beautiful dining room. (Check out their package deals online...we chose a two night package that included all meals and gratuities...you don't have to think about a thing!) The self-serve hot coffee and tea selection was a plus, as well as the home-made cookies if we were tempted to have a treat before dinner! We had a fireplace in our room, which added to the romantic ambiance. An after-dinner moonlight hike and visiting the alpacas in the near-by barn were also delightful experiences. If you are looking for a quiet escape, or a place to relax after a cold day of skiiing, the West Mountain Inn is it!! We had a great weekend here!

Room Tip: Definitely choose a room with a fireplace!

“13 years of WMI...gets better each time!”

This was the 13th year we visited WMI in Arlington, VT (give or take a year). We cherish our time at the Inn. WMI is truly a "peaceful" retreat - a time to disengage and take in the beauty and goodness of the Green Mountains. A perfect place for families and couples, WMI always offers wonderful service, comfortable beds, and all the amenities you need. The sledding hill and acres of trails offer great outdoor activities for the kids, as well as a visit with the Alpacas! The Inn offers a top notch breakfast and dinner menu...as well as freshly baked muffins and cookies each afternoon! Just a short drive into Manchester gets you to the center of shops and restaurants and the fabulous Northshire Bookstore! Year after year, we look forward to returning to West Mountain Inn.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms are wonderful, but Room 4 and 5 offer kids a separate sleeping space, as well as Ro...

“What a Country Inn Should Be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We stayed at the West Mountain Inn for two nights during a cold mid-April but the inn was delightfully warm and cheery. Each of the rooms is unique with their own special qualities and it was difficult picking which one to select when we made our reservations. As it was shoulder-season we got a discount. The one we picked had a gas fireplace, four-poster bed and sitting room with a mountain view.

Perhaps during busier times there are more people working at the inn, but when we were there only one young woman seemed to be doing everything but she did it very well.

The food was out of this world! Every item was prepared to perfection. The hiking trails that extend behind the inn were a good way to walk off some of the food! The inn is not far from Arlington and Manchester is just up the road. I really can’t recommend the West Mountain Inn highly enough. We had a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Each room is unique so examine all carefully.

“Our Christmas Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

For the eighth year in a row our family has come to West Mountain for our Christmas celebration -- this year with a new grandchild. Our little girls think of it as their "Christmas home" and feel very comfortable with the surroundings and the staff -- as do the adults. We expect to make this a tradition for many more years to come.

“West Mountain Inn Proudly Supports Our Troops”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

My wife and I stayed at the West Mountain Inn for Veteran's day (I am retired military). This was our first visit. We chose this inn because they are proud of and show support for our troops. The inn was gorgeous: beautifully furnished in a way that made you feel at home. The grounds were well manicured. The staff was very warm, friendly, and attentive to our needs. The room was great - tastefully decorated. We had dinner at the inn - which is a must. The menu items were diverse to satisfy virtually everyone. The four course meal was the highlight of our stay. The food was perfectly prepared, and the service was exemplary. The next morning we had breakfast - once again the menu variety, food, and service were superb. We are planning to go back again sometime soon. I would highly recommend the West Mountain Inn - there is no reason to go anywhere else.

Room Tip: We had a room on the ground floor - the layout is perfect for someone who has limited mobility.
