We stumbled on the Arcady at a most opportune time - We were tired and hungry and all of a soudden there it was, A hotel with Bed and Breakfast and "The Best Pizza Around". If you are looking for the lap of luxury this is not your pick for accomodations but you are looking for good clean room at a place where the owner cares about needs and is a superb cook - this is your destination. The breakfast itself is worth the price of the room - homemade breads and granola, fresh fuit, coffee, juice and a different egg dish every morning. If you are thin crust flatbread pizza officianado you just got a bonus - it IS the best pizza in the area.

I come here every year - and each time I arrive, it's like coming home. Oh my, there's even a mug of hot mulled cider waiting in the lobby for the weary traveler! The warmth and friendliness of the host , the clean and comfortable rooms, and the excellent excellent breakfast all combine to make my stays here an absolutely joy.

This motel is quirky and slightly old school, however, it is very clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. We really enjoyed the breakfast cooked by our host and the surroundings are lovely.

Nothing romantic about this place and maybe this is the main thing to expect because when I hear the word Rustic, I imagine a log cabin, a fire, folk art and and a big, simple, bed... well you got the picture. This is not the case with The Arcady.

If you expect a very clean place, at a great location with excellent (really outstanding) breakfast and reasonable price in VT, you won't be disappointed. IT's close to great hikes and shopping, the owner is very nice although in a European way (so I understand why some Americans might confuse this with being not nice).
