I still dream about this place. Stayed here with my husband during a leaf-peeping trip last fall. Neither of us are fond of the Victorian chintz-explosion look that so many B&Bs tend to have, and Whitford House was blessedly free of it. The decor skillfully blends classic antiques, rustic farmhouse styles and modern/ethnic art for an eclectic, attractive look. The highlight was an evening spent chatting and sipping drinks in the great room in front of a roaring fire with other guests, before retiring to our lovely second-floor room with large bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and I could have spent the rest of my life in their library. Oh, and finding the place is easy by using the directions on their website, and the price is very reasonable. The overall experience was like staying with old friends who have an amazing house. Do not pass this one up!
