Tiny room. We got the giggles over the size, but we weren't there for the room. Shower size was amazing however.Nice staff. Very polite.

I just returned from a trip to Austin for business where we stayed at the Driskill. the Location is perfect and the hotel itself, beautiful. What really sets this hotel apart from others is the INCREDIBLE service we received while there. From accomodating room change requests, to running a quick errand, every staff member I came in contact with was delightful, professional and made me feel very welcome and pampered. I travel for work about 40 weeks a year and stay in hotels all over. this may have been my best service experience of any hotel I have ever stayed in to include four season, ritz, luxury boutique, etc. Totally lovely.

The Driskill is a beautiful historical building that has a lot of character. In other words, it is an old building. We spent only one night and our main problem with the stay was the temperature in the room. Our thermostat was not working consistently. When we called engineering, the air that was blowing was warm. The minute he left, the air got cooler and cooler and never reached the temp that we wanted. It was a chilly night! We then waited for awhile for our car with valet. The car was parked outside the hotel and no one informed us when they knew we were waiting in the lobby. I would suggest to stay at another hotel while in Austin and visit the Driskill for a meal or drink.
