The Driskill is in a great part of town, close to everything. The people working there were very friendly. The hotel definitely has a Texas feel. The rooms are on the small side. It's an older building. On our last night at the hotel the power went out from 1am until 815am. We were given glow sticks so we could find our way back to the room. The next day everything was in disarray from the power outrage regarding anything with computers. Credit cards needed to be used the old fashion way and there sound system reverted to playing Christmas music even though it was the end of January. What can you do. Technology. On the weekends the hotel is very close to a street where the University students go to get completely plastered. If you have small children they might see some sites they haven't seen before.
