This Sheraton was a regular hotel, bit more on the nice side due to flat screen tv and simple contemporary designs in the rooms. The beds were nice and soft, had 4 pillows per bed, and the room was very clean. Hotel lobby and bar was really nice and new though. Parking was $15/day for self-park in their garage, but since our SUV had a big cargo box ontop of it, the valet guy said he'd park it for us in valet but for regular $15/day. Valet was $25/day. So we tipped him well for doing that for us. =) Check-in was fast and easy. We had a double bed room on the 5th floor, view wasn't anything special. It was a good deal because the location was right off of Highway 35, and between UT campus and 6th street. (We all wore heels, so we took a taxi to 6th instead of walking 5 blocks). Overall, not bad for the price we paid on priceline.

I enjoyed the view until I looked up on my ceiling and saw a condom on the smoke detector hanging above where I sleep in the room. I called the the lady for more towels and had her remove it. If I wasn't with my mother, then I would have made a big deal about it. Our room was supposed to be cleaned before we entered. It was obvious as to what was hanging down. We should have been compted a day. It was removed with gloves...thankfully. Also, the food was not too impressive! Stay somewhere else if you are in Austin, Tx.

This hotel was fabulous in the service area! I didn't stay long enough to really rate other parts, but I can say for sure that the staff does a great job.

The Hotel is in a good location downtown for getting in and out. Room was fine - no complaints other than I prefer softer towels. Edwin at the front desk was quick and courteous.
