“It's all here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We loved our stay at this resort! Not too big, not too small with beautiful views, amazing pools clean, comfortable rooms and efficient, friendly service.

Be sure to look for discounted rates- we used our AAA membership & got a room for $143/night on a weekend, including $20 credit for breakfast buffet each day, which was delicious & offered a lot of variety. Front desk staff generously upgraded us to a lake view room, which was lovely and had plenty of space for our family of five. We were close to everything, yet this has a true resort feel and the service is great.

“3 excellent days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I was looking for a relaxing place to stay and found it right here. The staff was very helpful & friendly from check-in to check-out. Especially the front desk clerk working 3-11; Christine, I think. My room was large, clean, comfortable and had a lake view. It was quiet at night and I enjoyed the balcony. The public areas and pools are beautiful. There is complimentary coffee at "The Back Porch" on the 3rd floor along with a light breakfast that is inexpensive. Happy hour is 5-6 with free wine and beer. The main restaurant is in a separate building on the property. Valet parking is $12 but self parking is free and not far from the front door. The hotel is in a very nice residential neighborhood although it may be a little to far off the beaten path for some.

“Good Hotel, but needs small upgrades”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights on leisure trip. Overall was pleased. Initially the room we were given had some midlew stains on the toilet bowls---I suspect this was less about not being a clean room and more about the room being unused for a long period of time after having been cleaned. The service was immediate and we were switched to another room. Great views from the hotel, overall very pleased. If any upgrade, the toilet/shower area could use one. Whereas the rest of the hotel room was on the order of a nice hotel, the bathroom was a little dated and felt more like a 2 star hotel.

“Nice place, not real fancy but great for the price.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

Friendly folks. Got room upgrade. Problems like only one robe and no breakfast menu corrected very quickly. They made my dinner res and slipped a note and map under my door withing minutes. Nice touch.

Night lighting on the property was harsh white light. Hire a light consultant and your resort will glow at night. The resort pool is awesome.

Room Tip: I was in 346. It was fine. There was some noise from another room but the view was great.

“Awesome Resort in Austin!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

My husband and I stayed for three days at this resort during our first trip to Austin recently and LOVED it. My parents and in-laws also stayed here and equally enjoyed the resort. The area of the resort is beautiful overlooking the lake, and the entire complex is stunning, especially the outdoor pool area. The rooms were spacious, bed was extremely comfortable, and the rooms were cleaned daily. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. We will *definitely* be staying here again for our next trip to Austin and will recommend the Lakeway Resort and Spa to all our family and friends.

Side Tip:
You will want a good GPS or printed route to the Lakeway Resort because it is a somewhat complicated drive to get to the resort (through twists and curves in a neighborhood area). It isn't difficult if you have your navigation route prepared.
