I stayed one night for a short business trip - most hotels in town were booked, this was close and convenient to my workplace. The clientele didn't seem to be the best - marijuana smoke smell in the hallway leading to my room, someone lurking on the stairs when I returned to my room after dinner. Couldn't get to sleep with the noise level (people walking overhead, doors shutting, etc, very thin walls). Took a shower in the morning only to find that the towels and bathroom counter were infested with ants (after I used the towels!). Black mildew visible on sink and red mildew on shower head. Counter in kitchen area had food or some sort of residue (but no ants in that area). Manager was empathetic, very frustrated with her lack of empowerment to resolve the insect problem which she indicated was not limited to my room and that she was trying to resolve the housekeeping problems as well. She gave me a voucher for a free night at any hotel in the chain. I have to give her kudos for trying to placate me, but the experience was disgusting. For a place with no frills and obvious issues, $90 per night is outrageous. I won't stay there again and am not confident that I want to stay anywhere in the chain (using my "free night") if this is indicative of corporate management.
