I come to expect certain things from certain chains, this is no exception. I have stayed at this property twice, both times have been very good. Clean rooms, good location, no complaints at all.

I also REALLY like that they have a couple parking spots designated for priority club members, a very nice plus!

My daughter and I spent 1 night in Austin in order to attend Discover UT Day. It was a long day to get to Austin (a whole other story!) and we were pretty tired. So we were looking forward to a good night's sleep and be rested for the all-day event @ UT. Well I learned to make a note to myself to NEVER accept a room near the icemaker/vending area. That thing kept me awake pretty much all night.

The other issue is while the room itself seemed clean and the beds comfortable, the carpet was smelly. Like it hadnt been cleaned in quite awhile. The breakfast was mediocre and the coffee was pretty bad.

Bottom line is I will be finding another place to stay when I go to Austin.

I had beg bugs during my stay there. So change rooms or better yet do not stay there. Also there was a problem with the shower drain. It was noisy and the air conditioning does not work right.

Stayed for a week on business, location is right off IH-35. Room was more of a studio suite, no door between the sitting and sleeping areas but it was clean and in decent shape and bed was comfy. Furniture & carpet are slightly worn but not gross and TV is old school (as in, not an HD flat screen). Mini- fridge & microwave were convenient. I don't know what cleaner they use but it took a minute to get used to the fragrance, best I can describe is something like sandalwood incense?

Free breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and the popular Texas-shaped make-your-own waffles as well as cold cereal and the usual muffins, bagels, and fruit. Parking is free. You do hear some traffic noise being so close to the highway, but it becomes white noise after a while. Pretty good value at a little over $100 a night. If you stay here, use the rear lot and streets behind the hotel as the frontage road is one-way and exasperating to have to go far out of your way to make a u-turn all the time! Lots of restaurants and chain stores nearby.
