“Awesome. Renewing and relaxing...Go!”
So I bought my 3 night package on RueLala. I had never been to a destination spa before, so wasn't sure 100% what to expect. It was AWESOME. I went by myself (totally safe for a single woman), and in fact there was another woman that I know of that was by her self too.
The entire atmosphere is relaxing. You are right on the lake, the place is very manicured and made for chilling out. I had a premier lake view room and it was more than spacious. You entered into the bedroom with a sitting area and flat screen TV. The bathroom was just down a short hall and had a huge soaking tub. My 'cottage' had a backyard zen garden with a waterfall and chair/ottomon. Bed was super comfy and the room was quiet. You do have a small refridgerator that you can put a few things in.
With your package, you get all meals, all fitness classes, and mine came with a spa credit. They have a very full schedule of things to choose from, so I was never bored. It was up to me to decide if I wanted to rise early (which I did every day...didn't want to waste a minute) and take classes, or just chill in a hammock by the lake and read a book. It was too cold to use the pools, but I did use the hot tub. Some of the classes are fitness, and some are things like watercolor painting, or even just a boat tour on the lake. Really a nice variety of things to choose from. I enjoyed the yoga and the tibetan bowl meditation.
The food was excellent. Even though the portions were 'small'...but really not beause they are the size you are supposed to eat...with so many courses to choose from I was more than satisfied. They do have beer and wine for purchase and the selection was good.
The Spa was great...good facilities and treatment specialists.
I will go back without a doubt. This has also opened me to try other destination spas.
