My date of stay was actually March 2010 but this wouldn't let me put a date back that far. This was hands down one of the WORST hotel experiences I have ever had. It started out well enough. The desk guy was very polite checking us in and helped us obtain a pizza since it was so late when we arrived.
However, the next morning...I went to drop my daughter off at SXSW festival and was looking forward to a day on my own to relax, swim, read and surf the net. Thanks to a broken A/C unit that smelled like it was blowing asbestos and gave you an insta-headache the second you turned it on, WiFi that did not work ALL DAY with no tech support available, a pool that was FAR too cold to even brave sticking a toe into and a Jacuzzi that would not function at all, I had nothing to do but sit in the hot sun and read my book all day. I went to the front desk to complain and the girl was VERY rude, stating "No, ma'am, everything is NOT broken" as though saying it somehow made it true and despite her own maintenance man telling me right in front of her that the Jacuzzi was, in his exact words, "BROKEN"!!!
There are not even any grocery stores anywhere near here and the only restaurants are pretty much cr@p food. I had to drive nearly ten miles to avoid patronizing Walmart. Worst yet, the frontage road this hotel sits on only goes one way, so getting back to the hotel is the biggest pain EVER. You have to either figure out the side streets that run behind the hotel and meander through a confusing networks of narrow roads, or get back on the freeway going the wrong way several miles before you can turn around, get off, and go the opposite way down the freeway.
I wrote a complaint e-mail to Wyndham about this hotel and they never even graced me with the courtesy of a response.
Don't say you haven't been warned. Sometimes there are more important things than the price!
