After the convention was booked at the Mariott, I had a chance to save money and stay at the Baymont. Hotel room was clean and spacious. Staff always smiling and willing to help. Breakfast in the morning included pastries, waffles, cereal, juice and coffee. (What a deal). No complaints here. Try to avoid the Outback on a Friday night. We got the waitress from #@%^. Other than that visit to the area was great.
Great place if you want to stay on the north side of Austin. Quiet and out of the way.
This hotel is located well if you're on business in the North Austin area. Not as good for leisure, it's not really close to anything for tourists, etc. The exterior and lobby of the hotel is nice and well-kept. However, the guest rooms could use some maintenance work.
The furnishings look a little outdated. Over all, just average. The only contact I really had with the staff was the gentleman at the front desk and the gentleman who was in the breakfast area in the morning, and they were both very polite and courteous. Nice breakfast. Would return and reccomend if you need a clean and safe place to stay for the night. Just another one of North Austin's "no frills, no extras" property. Also, no high-speed internet like it's competitors. Thanks!
