First, if you really need to stay here, they have $119 corporate rate, call direct and ask for it. Don't be suckered into paying $169. The hotel is average low end facility, among staybridge, etc.
I stayed in 4th floor and found bed bugs. Avoid floor 3-5 and north half of bldg.
They don't change sheets for at least 3 days; I doubt housekeeping keeps track, so all the dead skin/etc on sheets stays in the bed for many days. They don't change sheets because of cost saving and lazyness, masked by their claim of being 'green'. They should give option to opt-in to sleep in same sheet for many days, but you have to opt-out, so they won't change sheets unless you ask for it. Same with towels.
The real breakfast (not the free ones) takes 15 minutes to get ready, if you're in a hurry basically you're without decent breakfast.
Next time I will find a deal at Westin/Domain ($129) or Aloft/Domain ($119). They are both few miles north and brand new. If you must get Hyatt points, Staybridge down the street gives Hyatt points, and no bed bugs! (I hope)
Room Tip: All rooms are identical, noisy A/C, exhaust fan.

While I have been unable to respond personally as I cannot match this name with any guest in the last several months, I will at least respond here with a sincere apology as we never wish to have any guest leave our hotel dissatisfied. In answer to the most serious comment, we have stepped up our pest control inspections and prevention measures in response to the media coverage which bed bugs have been getting. They have never been found in this hotel and all rooms in whch guests have suspected them have been inspected immediately and found clean. We continue to take the issue extremely seriously and all housekeeping staff are trained on prevention.
I do not wish future guests to be misinformed as far as the other items mentioned so I will address them to avoid miscommunication. Like most 3-5 star hotels, the Hyatt Place does feel the responsibility of being a good corporate citizen and does have green initiatives in place including a linen and towel reuse program. These sorts of programs are being strongly demanded by most travelers but travelers who prefer to have their towels and linen completely changed every day can easily do so by informing the housekeepers. It is very common in most hotels and expected by frequent travelers; additionally, there are clear instructions for less frequent travelers so they know exactly what to do.
Hyatt Place is upgrading its breakfast in 2012 and you will soon start seeing more variety and hot items on the breakfast buffet. The hotel will continue to offer 24 hour food service and most items take about 5-10 minutes to prepare. On busy mornings, when other orders may have been placed ahead of yours, we do recommend allowing a little extra time, or you can call from your room with your order and we can have it ready for you when you come down.
As far as rates go, hotel rates vary significantly given the day of the week you are traveling, the demand for those dates, and the amount of advance notice with which your reservation is made. It is impossible to quote a specific rate for a hotel without travel dates. The rates quoted in this review are on the low end of the typical rate range for all three hotels mentioned. Rates can be much higher or lower depending on when you are traveling and when you are making your reservations. To get the very best rates, always call the hotel directly to make sure that you are aware of any special promotions which may get you a better rate.
