“Best SPG Option Far West of Dallas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

The only thing I will knock here is the Club Lounge, not great. Bell staff is very friendly and has great recommendations. Ample parking for a trailer, feels very secure. You can get anywhere in the metroplex very quick;y and Lincoln Square or nearby interchange has good food options.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean and well-appointed. A good Sheraton, not enough of them.

“Very good stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

We booked our stay here through a third party site and I would dare to say it was the best money I could have spent on a hotel stay. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a very clean, very lit, very stylish lobby area. The business center is located right up front and includes free wifi, but it can be hard to miss if you enter through the opposite side. Elevators take a long while to arrive but this hotel does have a lot of floors.
Our room was located on the 15th floor which is also considered a preferred guest floor. I'm not sure what that entails but I did notice a free bottle of water in the room. Score! Our room had a view of the highway but I found it to be a nice view. The room had very modern furniture and art. The sheets on our king size bed were soft and comfortable but the pillows were flat and didn't offer any support. Our room had a reading chair, flat screen TV, cordless phone, coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing board and iron. The bathroom could use some improvement in the shower area. A newer shower head would be nice and new tile on the wall. Neither of these seemed to match the renovations.
We didn't get any use from the cafe or restaurant unfortunately.
Every hotel employee we encountered was polite and willing to help with anything we needed. We will definitely be back to this hotel in the future!

“Alright Hotel in Arlington”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Stayed here for a night in-between flights and thought the hotel was nice. I had a room on the 19th floor and it was very spacious. My room had a king sized bed with what looked be updated furnishings. The large flat screen tv with HD channels was a nice touch as well. Internet access was offered in the room for an exorbitant fee of $12.95 a day. Free wireless internet access was offered in the lobby.

Some negative things to say about my room in particular was that it was directly next to the elevators and I could hear the elevators going up and down all night. Also, being on the 19th floor it seemed as though I could hear the heating and cooling units for the hotel which were sure to be on the roof above. I am somewhat of a light sleeper, but have slept through many things so I was disappointed that I was woken up by the elevator.

The proximity of this hotel to the Cowboys and Rangers stadium would have been perfect if I was going to a game there. However, if I do end up staying somewhere overnight in between flights I will probably look into another hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid a room right next to the elevator shaft.

“Best access for sports in Dallas!”

Best hotel for proximity to the local football and baseball stadiums. I found the layout of the main floor confusing and there was a very strange smell near the main elevators. Our room was nice, compact but with decent quality furniture. I was surprised at the lack of a luggage rack and in-room safe. Looking for outlets to charge my phone and computer was a stretch, I had to unplug a lamp to find enough outlets.

I stayed on the concierge level and that made a significant difference in my stay.
And...location.

“Nice hotel but a little disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Hotel is in good location close to freeways, and to ballparks. Hotel lobby was nice, checkin was quick and easy. Since this is a 'fancy' hotel, we didn't see any carts available to take our luggage and we didn't want to use the bellboy as we have a lot of small pieces of luggage since we're on a long road trip. Anyway, room was fine, although a little on the small side, as was the bathroom. I've stayed in many Sheratons when I was a 'road warrior' and this room just didn't feel like a 3.5 star room. It wasn't bad just not what I expect from a Sheraton. The bed was also not very comfortable and was kind of like a trampoline when one of us moved!! We have been on the road for 2 months and this is the most uncomfortable bed we have slept in! I should mention that we got a good deal through Priceline so that may explain the room allocation! The most annoying thing, however, was the fee for the internet. When I travelled with work I had no issue paying for the Internet as I made good use of it but now that we're retired, we spend about 10 minutes a day checking e:mail and $12.95 x 2 is not worth it. The clock for usage is from noon till noon which made it even less friendly as we were thinking of using it from 8pm one night thru to 8pm the next night but that would have meant 2 days charge. They do have an area in the lobby where access on their pcs is complimentary but I'm not comfortable doing very much on those. I did use one for a few minutes but had some problems so just gave up. It would be nice if they had a wifi lite option.
