My son-in-law booked two rooms here using his accomulated points so that four of us could attend the Cottonbowl. When we arrived we were welcomed with a note on a bulletin board stating the top two of four floors were undergoing renovation. A second note advised that water could be turned off daily between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. None of this information was shared when the reservations were made. The first floor carpeting was covered in plastic making roller baggage difficult. One elevator had walls covered in cardboard, the other was dusty and dirty. Our room had a terrible chemical-type odor that couldn't be remedied with an opened window. The front desk's solution for us was a bottle of Fabreze spray and a hanging scent card used in cars.
This hotel has no ammenities except for a workout room and laundry facilities. The so-called suites featured a queen bed that was so close to the wall my husband had to walk sideways to get in and out. The bed linens were old and worn, the bed not comfortable. There was a desk, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, stove and microwave oven. The television was an old tube variety and lettering was fuzzy. The room was so small I think I would go crazy if I had to stay more than a few days.
Since the rooms were meant for extended stays there is no maid service. I would not return to this hotel and my son-in-law will try to get his points returned!
