My wife and I just got back from the Big 12 Championship game. We chose this hotel based on its proximity to the Stadium and the reviews I had read on this page. We had reserved a non-smoking room for the night. When we arrived, check in was swift, when we got to our room – it was a smoking room. I immediately returned to the front desk where the lady was checking in the next customer in line, when I explained the dilemma she informed me that she had just given the last non-smoking room away, but could not explain why I did not receive one. There was no discount, no explanation or admittance of fault. We spent the 30 degree night with the window open and returned hope with everything smelling like a dirty ashtray.
When I called the corporate customer service line (in India), I was put on hold for 30 minutes, so I called them at the same time on the hotel phone to speak to another service rep, who informed me that it was all on the location, not the company (LaQuinta)

1st let me say that some of the previous posts are not about this hotel. This one is near the Parks Mall and some of the others are about the LQ near Six Flags. Anyway, recently stayed here for a gymnastics meet for my daughter all I can say is the location is perfect! We had a King suite, 2 rooms with a King and a sofa bed, 2 tv's (great for dad and daughter who don't want to watch the same thing). Price was more than we ususally pay but lots going on that weekend. The hotel is within walking distance to several restaurants, little shopping center and the Parks Mall which made it very convenient. Room was spacious enough, internet is free but not wireless. Didn't take in the breakfast since they didn't serve til 7 am on SS and we needed to leave by 7 to get to the meet and we chose to walk to IHOP for breakfast on sunday morn.
All in all we would definitely stay here again.

I called ahead and reserved and was happy w/ no problem checkin.we are traveling w/ a truck hauling a cargo trailer and my wife driving our jeep each w/ a cat.we travel approx. 200 miles max.our parking was out side our room. which was a relief since I thwarted a breakin of my truck the night before in Abilene LQ parking lot. this site is very clean and convenient to 20.we have stayed @LQ 4 times this trip.Hobbs NM was the very best...this is nice though in Arlington

We loved our stay at La Quinta while visiting Six Flags this summer. The extra area with the couch and additional seating made our stay wonderful!! Spacious Rooms, great breakfast and a SUPER helpful staff made us want to return!
