This hotel had a comfortable bed and clean white linens, however it was:
Filthy – The windows and tables were covered with greasy handprints; the AC (that was so loud it would wake me when it turned on) had thick dust on the air vents; twice I saw a live roach on the kitchen countertop – which was cracked and stained; the throw pillows that were on the bed were dirty and stained, as was the chair pad in the living area, the carpet, and the doors; a large dead roach was next to the elevator door for 3 days, the outside furniture under the covered sitting areas was either broken and/or filthy; the elevator carpet was never cleaned and had a large wad of gum ground into the center and so and so on; and
The security lock on my door was broken off and when I attempted to call downstairs for a wake-up call, the phone line was dead. When I told the front desk that my phone wasn’t working, she responded that “yes, they get a lot of that”
Breakfast was served in a dirty dining area and most of the equipment was broken, i.e. the juice machine that was not working/available for use or the coffee machine that you had to hit the brew button to release the coffee into your cup (the coffee pot was missing). The “hot” table was barely lukewarm so I did not attempt to eat any eggs or anything else for that matter, but a banana.
I will never take a chance on a Wyndham hotel again. It was nothing short of deplorable. Further, I question the validity of a hotel chain who would allow one of their franchises to become so dilapidated. I am certain that I am not the first or last customer to file a complaint against this hotel.
I learned long ago that if a customer leaves satisfied, they will tell 5 people of their positive experience. If the customer instead had a negative experience, they will tell 50 people just how bad it was. And so it goes.
I saw that the owners replied twice to these reviews that they called an exterminator and was having the carpets cleaned. They have no business being in the hotel business.
