We had a great stay at the Quality Inn and suites. We got checked in and the ids immediately wanted to go to the pool. The pool was located in between the two parts of the hotel and was shaded and very relaxing. The hotel is conviently located near the I-40 exit and there is a shopping mall with good restaurants nearby. The wireless internet was free and the breakfast in the morning was very adequate.

We are moving and driving a Penske truck with a trailer and jeep. It's hard to park, so we called the hotel while on the road to ask about parking space. We were told there would be no problem parking a semi. Wrong! It was a challenge, but after some circle driving, we found a space - taking up about 8 parking spaces for smaller vehicles. This hotel was also one of the only hotels with availabilities in Amarillo on this night. We checked into the hotel with no problems. When we got to the room, there was an odor like it may have been a smoking room at one time. Gross! The chairs and sofa were stained with who knows what! We wouldn't sit on them! The bed was soft - not real comfortable - but clean! The bathroom is beyond small - there is absolutely no room to move in it at all! The tub and the toilet are on top of each other with a full length mirror on the door, so if you sit on the toilet with the door open - you get to look at yourself! Again...gross!!! The sink is outside the bathroom though, which is more convenient. The carpet needs replaced - it''s dirty and torn. The worst part of the stay though - a bug flying into my partner's ear! It was a beetle or some other hard-shelled bug. We will NEVER stay in another Quality Inn again!

This is an older property that needs to be refurbished, but the room was large, had a large TV with a good picture. The remote was broken, however, and we were stuck with closed caption. The staff was not overly friendly, but they were accommodating. The breakfast was good and the service was outstanding. It was considerably better than the hotel we stayed in later in the week and Quality facility was $30. cheaper. It was far from luxurious, but an outstanding value. Easy access on and off the freeway. Wireless service was best of trip.

I use 25+ nights a year and often use Choice Hotels because of their pet policy. This was a total disaster. Room was 5 years past when most hotels do at least a soft rehab. Size was great, large with kitchenette. Why provide cookware if it is so disgusting I would not use if I was starving. Furniture was broken down and filthy. This property should be dropped right now. I just drove cross country and stayed at 5 hotels, 4 were choice and the other 3 were fine but this was worse one was awful.
