We came for one night for Oktoberfest which was a 1 1/2 block walk, however at 5:30 this morning my husband jumped out of bed after flinging a bug accross the room that was crawling on his neck. We located the bug, and put it in a baggie and took it to the front desk. They apologized and said they would rebate our room. Not sure what that means, but I will watch my credit card bill.
As other reviews said, rooms are tired, beds are hard, bouncy and squeeky,. Linens are pretty worn out, as is the stained carpet. I stay almost exclusively at Marriott properties because generally they are consistent across the board. This property, not so much. A/C must me either on full blast (loud) to get cool (freeze) or off (too hot) TV is old large and sits on a table that swivles so you can watch from sofa or bed, but when in bed, only the person on the tv side of bed can see it.
Went to the breakfast room, and was greeted with a toaster that did not work, so no bagel or toast, a chafing dish of greasy potatoes, instant scrambled eggs, and rubber sausage.So I thought I would try for the yogurt with granola. Opened the refrigerator and the yogurt was room temperature. So breakfast consisted of a cup of awful coffee, and very hot oatmeal.

All in all, not happy with this hotel at all, and will not stay here again

I would agree with the other feedback on this site. The rooms are very "European". The furniture and tv are old. The layout is strange. You cannot watch the tv from the work desk which is conveniently located next to the kitchen sink (sarcasm). There is no wireless connectivity and the wired connectivity is extremely slow. The location is convenient to Addison, however I wouldn't recommend walking around too much. I was accosted by a female seeking $4 for bus fair. Really?

I stay in Marriott's frequently, but I will not return to this hotel.

OK hotel but not impressive in any way. The only real thing this hotel has going for it is that it is close to a nice strip of resteurants. NO WIRELESS!!! I'm sorry but I still do not understand how a hotel thinks it can "cater" to business level customers and not have decent internet access. Each room has a wired connection that is SLOW SLOW SLOW. About dial up slow. I had to have my laptop in the window just so i could manage to pull in wireless signal from a neighboring business that was patchy due to the distance. Maybe I'm just too much of a techy, but with how inexpensive bandwidth is this issue has become a deal breaker for me. For lords sake I can get a decent free wifi connection in McDonals or starbucks with my $1.00 coffee but not in my much more expensive hotel room?
The TVs are old, small and your typical old school hotel fare. I've been spoiled lately by 42" flat screens at competitors hotels. As other reviewers expressed the beds are well worn and hard. They could use a replacement. The hotel has signs up all around reminding you to hide your valuables and lock your doors. This makes me wonder about the neighborhood?
Overall it seems like a nice area. The staff is very friendly and professional. The hotel was clean overall and seems like it's fairly well maintained. I were paying and were not staying with a group I would not stay here again unless the issues above were fixed.

I recently stayed here again and the only reason is that I simply forgot how much I disliked this hotel. The rooms are spacious but that's about all I can say that is positive. The temperature control is impossible with the in window heat/air that either has to run constantly or not at all. The beds are extremely poor with thin mattresses, thin sheets and hardly any covering. I literally was curled in a ball all night because I was freezing. I finally turned off the air and then was sweaty a couple hours later. Horrible nights sleep. The desk is situated on a wall with no view of the TV and there is NO WIRELESS in the rooms! So to use the internet and watch TV I had to rearrange the furniture. No big deal but annoying. The bathroom is awkward. If you use the shower you have to close the door because you can't in the shower around the toilet and the door. I'd love to speak with genius architect who designed this place, apparently they've never traveled!
