Where to begin? No toilet tissue or towels in public restrooms. We were in the hotel for a wedding, and they lost the bride and grooms honeymoon suite reservations. There was an unexpected RAP CONCERT IN THE ATRIUM we were warned about when we checked in, but not when we made the reservations a month in advance. The concert was to end at midnight. As of 12:32a it is still raging on, with no end in sight. The only consolation is that I am using their Free WIFI to leave this review even as I surrender the last of my ability to hear to the deafening bass and drums. I suppose it would be worse: if there was less echo in the atrium, I could probably understand the words,and that would surely be worse.

When we called the lady that took out reservations was great. We drove the three hours and arrived there. When we arrived obviously staff had changed, or they have a very different phone manner as compared to their in person nature. Very rude and unknowledgeable about the job they were paid to do.

Oh, and it was raining.

Lobby was pretty nice looking.

We booked two rooms adjoining. Check in was 3:00. We told them we would be later and they said fine. We arrived around 5 or 6. No one was ahead of us and it took this girl an amazingly long time to register us. Then she said our rooms were not cleaned yet and it would be a while, since one of their maids had already left for the day, and the other one was behind. So, we waited, they said, your rooms are ready; went in and the tables had not even been wiped off. We complained and they switched us to other adjoining rooms. another 30-45 minutes. As we sat in the great room (it is just a big open lobby that has a fireplace at one end and an elevator.), I noticed all the leaks that were all over this place. No one had even attempted to show any concern for cleaning them, putting a bucket out or anything. I noticed a HUGE puddle directly in front of two doors and told our kids to stay away from them. Wouldn't you know they were our rooms!!!!! We complained and the desk girl came out and layed some towels accross the mess and they were immediately soaked. We had to ask that they put something out to catch the water and she finally brought out a trash can.

Breakfast was a joke!! Out of everything!!! No one around to ask to replinish the milk, and when we went to the front desk, they said they didn't have any more until a supply truck came later.

the internet did not work. Part of the lights didn't work in one of the rooms, and the shower had a droopy ceiling.

This hotel was not worth it at all. We will never stay at this place again!

I have stayed in that hotel for more than a month. I have no choice because my company has a corporate rate:-

Pros:

1) For the price ($45 per night) , you can't ask for more
2) Stay-able
3) HJ tried very hard to upgrade their facilities but....
4) Workable Internet Connection!!!


Cons:

1) Noisy. I.e. ppl banging their doors, children crying and shouting at night.
2) You will need to ask for towels. If you are lucky, you will have some already in the room.
3) Sometimes, they won't even make your bed or clean the room even you stay for the entire week
4) 50% of the rooms smell smokes.
5) There is a gym but with no AC

We recently took our family to H.J. for a family reunion and the conditions were horrible...mold in rooms, mice, washing done right out side breakfast room, no soap in rooms, no service the entire week-end, ran out of food, swimming pool had green algae in it and dirt, some rooms without pillows, dirty sheets and bedcovers. I would never stay here again. They knew we were coming months before event and things still weren't taken care of. We mentioned pool condition on Tues. before reunion and nothing was done until late Sat. afternoon after it was too late for kids to swim. I can't believe they let places like this stay open. Lady at front desk (dark hair) didn't know what she was doing and was very rude. It took forever for people to register. Also, some members of the family still haven't received all of their money back for getting charged for items they didn't receive.
