“Comfortable bed, great shower, convenient Antioch location, safe area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

Stayed for 6 nights. Had to change room after first night due to proximity to elevator - I'm a light sleeper. The staff assisted without question. Great customer service during my entire stay. Room was clean. Furniture showed a few signs of wear but the duvet is freshly washed for each new customer and on day four during an extended stay. Numerous TV channels. No in-room safe but room service from the hotel across the street. Adequate workout room. Lobby/breakfast area is cozy and has a large TV for casual viewing 24/7. Coffee is wonderful and breakfast has plenty of hot items but lacks meat on most days. Yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, and juice if you are watching the carbs. Walk to Wendy's or eat until 10pm at the hotel restaurant across the street. Internet worked but was weak in my room - could not SKYPE. I did have to plug in the lamps and reset the GFI near the coffee maker and in the bathroom but everyone should know how to do this anyway. Not worth calling anyone. I would suggest taking a small extension cord as the outlets are behind the nightstands in the king room or behind the desk - typical Hampton. Housekeeping is quiet in the morning before 9 - 9:30am. When you leave the hotel, take a few left turns and you arrive on a restaurant row and grocery market area. Hotel is convenient to I - 24 but do not trust your GPS for instructions. Call the hotel or use Google Map. It really is easy but my Hertz Neverlost wanted to go a different direction. There is a Shell station just down from the hotel also. Parking lot is well lit. During my stay they never ran out of newspapers, fresh coffee, breakfast items, hot water for shower, or southern hospitality. I'm going back in December for another six day stay. This hotel is close to Nashville but is not a Nashville hotel. It is very easy to get to the airport from here. BTW: Cool Spring shopping is not far.

Room Tip: rooms away from vending machines and elevator are quieter

“Not My Favorite Choice in the Nashville Area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

This hotel's lobby and breakfast area is not very nice. It's not very updated and it's way too small. It just gives you a feeling of a cheap place. The room was clean but not very updated. Overall I just felt like I was in a lower-quality brand hotel than a Hampton while I was there. Everything about it was "average".

PROS: HD channels. Hot breakfast. Close by mall, restaurants and gas station. Bigger ref and microwave in room. Fair sized outdoor pool. 2 elevators.

CONS: narrow parking spaces. Smallish rooms. Small gym- no drinking water- waited to change water dispenser but not changed in 2 hours at least. Close by numerous intersections. No cookies in lobby. Older gym equipment. No sauna. Smaller dining area.

“OK for one night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2010

Stayed one night on our way south to Orlando. This Hampton is not special, although it's clean and fine for one night. The elevator smelled really strange - every time we used it. OK breakfast. Garmin's directions coming from the north are not correct. Get off at exit 60, not 59 - you'll end up going in circles.

“Best night's sleep I've had on the road”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 May 2010

I've stayed at dozens of hotels, but this is one of the recently 'revised' Hamptons with the "Cloud Nine" mattresses that I hadn't tried before my stay in Antioch. Let me just say, it was out-of-this-world. Single best night's sleep I've ever gotten at a hotel. This was probably especially due to my upgrade to a suite room -- which was impeccably furnished.

I wouldn't say there's much to do in the area, but all I needed was a nice base from which to explore Nashville -- and it served that function quite nicely.

There were unfortunate issues with the Wi-Fi when I was there, but the staff worked with me to resolve the issue. The staff, for the record, was fantastic as well.
