“It met my need.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

I needed somewhere to stay while my daughter was at USC- Aiken for orientation.
Pros
1. Hotel was in a OK location.
2. Price was nice for the time of stay.
3. Hotel staff were nice.
Cons
If you are like my wife you will not want to stay there unless you do not have a choice.
If you are with another person that does not mind roughing it and your funds are low this may be the place for you.

We picked this hotel for its price and the nice pictures on the internet. This place is horrible. Disgusting bathrooms, scary people that are renting by the week and very loud rap music at night uintil 2;30 a.m. and starting again at 6:00 a.m. I wanted to leave this hotel but was afraid to lots of angry people shouting all night long. I did not sleep at all. Toliets do not work. The breakfast that they claim to offer does not exist. We went for the breakfast between the hours they claimed to offer it and they were "out" of everything My 7 year olds asked Please Mam can we have some more batter for the waffles and she just said no. Do not stay here!!!!

“Go in Healthy Come out SICK.....”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2010

Wow where do I begin... To start the day we went and stayed at this hotel was my birthday mar 18. now grant you the reason for my trip was not for a luxury night in a motel if it was Id be staying at the marriot. But a decent room where my kids and I could sleep was all I really needed. Upon first arrival it seemed alright for the price... It was in a farely good BUT very busy road.. It was calm during the early evening hours as far as noise traffic but towards the evening not so much.. The room itself was not worth the money. They don't provide you with anything as far as any coffee to go with the coffee maker... ( so whats the point) no trial shampoos or soaps. Not to mention it smelled funky when we got there . VERY cramped and VERY small.. The beds are HARD as rocks.. and The tv channels arent clear... BUT THE WORST OF IT ALL!>... waking up to an asthma attack from the AC unit spitting out dust particles so bad it threw my son and I into Breathing problems. we came in healthy only to leave sounding like horses. Not to mention when I mentioned the issue tot he front desk I get an OH im so sorry. why didnt you come tell me @ 330 am when I cant breath Im not waking my kids up who finally got to sleep I didnt figure out it was the ac unit I thought hmm maybe were getting travel sickness... ya know.. but in the am I looked down at the ac unit and thank the lord the filter was hanging out it was completly black... I was in complete and utter shock when I noticed on my black lap top the cover had white particles of dust all over it from the air.. I mean really. We were very greatful the attacks that morning werent that bad. because if 911 would of had to be called a refund would of been the least of thier worries. I went down to mention this to the front desk with not much of a remorseful ness.. Only to eat breakfast which is from 6-9am you must eat in the lobby.. ( not alot to choose from either for breakfast items)... We then went back upstairs and in a few min they decided now was the time to change the filter.. I told them we are checking out @ 11am.. and moving hotels they can come back... so starting at 1015am.. they decided to bother us while we were trying to get ready to leave and make us feel unwanted time to get out attitude.. Listen I pay for the room Im staying till 11am unless I need to leave earlier.. and we were not feeling well from the asthma problems so we were having difficulties getting ready to leave. ... NOT to mention while we were eating breakfast I overheard the conversation of the desk clerk to mantaince man that they had not shampooed one room for 3 years.. COME ON.. ... it was just not a pleasant stay at all!....

I called the econo lodge down the road this morning and they were not only friendly but nice gave me a discounted price and also let me view the room ahead of time. We have an indoor pool and are able to BREATHE!... I enjoy it very much right now.. they are a much nicer ran hotel branch and are very close to food gas and walmart. which is literally in walking distance less then a block. It has a nice quiet area even though its on a busy road. I am very delighted to be here today!.....

“Best $40 room I've stayed in yet.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2009

When I got in the lobby of this hotel late on Sunday night/Monday morning, the night manager was very very helpful and friendly. I got my room keys and was actually surprised how nice the room was. I had much lower expectations based solely on the price but the appliances were all brand new, the bed was comfortable and every day my room was gone over. I admit that I did 'hide' some wrappers to kind of check up on the staff and every time I did they were found and gone.

If you pull into this motel expecting to get Hyatt or Hilton quality you will be disappointed. For business travel, this place is fine; fridge, good desk/chair combinations and fresh sheets/towels every day. Remember, this ISN'T home, it's a place to sleep and be safe at night.

One thing that would be a great improvement and get more of my coworkers to stay here while they are in town is if they offered wireless internet instead of just having one PC in the lobby that is hooked into the internet. Granted there was no waiting (most folks didn't seem to notice or use the computer) but the convenience of being able to work from my motel room would be a huge plus.

“Never Again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2009

This hotel had a great price, and after I looked at the pictures on the net I thought it would be at least an ok stay...I was wrong! The staff when we arrived was very friendly and that is all I can say that was good about this hotel. When we got into the room the floor was wet and the room reaked of smoke. The lady cleaning the room had the door open so flies had gotten into the room, she also said she would bring us towels when they came out of the dryer and never return which didn't matter because I ended up going to my mothers to take a shower because the bathroom was disgusting! I tried to make the best of everything because the money had been paid, even after hearing the young men next door outside talking about buying drugs...needless to say I was afraid to go outside so I had no choice...at 2:45 I had enough and wanted to leave but because of my husband I stayed. We checked out and again the lady was polite...until we figured out that my husband wallet was missing...we went back asked nobody knew anything and they wouldn't even check the room for it...I will never stay here neither will I recommend this hotel to my worse enemy! Sometimes kindness supercedes the bad but not in the case!
