I have been staying at the Hampton Inn in Aiken SC since June 26 with only a few days per month back in my home in CA. Although the physical accommodations are 3 star, the welcome and family atmosphere created by the front desk staff and breakfast kitchen gals was superlative.

No effort was too much and it made a tremondously relaxed and supportive atmosphere away from home.

I hope others who take thee time to try the Hampton Inn in Aiken, I think you'll find the best of great southern hospitality and efficient hotel services. To those guests who make a small effort to socialize with the hotel staff, I am confident you'll be delighted with your stay.

Half the price compared to California and 3 times the great stay.

Hotel is showing a little wear. Staff is the friendliest around. Recommend staying here.

Great fron tdesk staff, but that's it. Entire place looks to have gotten an recent facelift, but that does not quite cover the wear on this property. Upon arriving, I found 2 used coffee cups in the bathroom, and a less than tidy floor around the toilet. Since I would be there for the week, I bought a few groceries, but soon found out the fridge and mircowave were both broken. Everything in general was a little worn. No fitness center. Minimal parking

I spent 2 nights at this hotel. I've stayed a many other Hampton Inns and have always had a positive experience. My stay in Aiken was not positive. My room type was not available upon check-in. I requested move the next night and was told that no one was checking out the next morning, however, I saw several people checking out the next day.

The AC unit did not work well and when I called the front desk I was told maintenance would not be available till the next morning. The matress was not comfortable and the refrigerator was so loud in the room that I awoke several times thinking it was an alarm going off.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
