I usually stay at La Quinta Inns because they are reasonable priced, clean, and accept dogs at no additional cost. Since I compete in dog obedience trials, we are in a new town every month and appreciate La Quinta's service. However, Albany was a disappointment. The building was hot; thus, the room was hot and was lucky to be on the second floor so I could open a window throughout our stay. Noisy at night but better than the heat (we're talking mid-September so weather wasn't hot). Breakfast was a disappointment so walked across the street both mornings to a restaurant. The maid service was really poor - no change of towels, no clean coffee mug, and no straightening of the bed. The only thing I could see was the trash cans were emptied. I spoke to the front desk and was offered one towel but the attitude was as though this happens often. I should have stayed across the street from the trial - at the Best Western!
