this hotel is no longer a holiday inn (yay), and therefore worth a stay.
price is a little on the high side ($60), but the day I stayed there, the hotel bar had complimentary HH draft beer (mich ultra, but again, if you do the math-the extra $10 you pay for this property vs the rodeway across the street evens out-breakfast is a comp grand slam at the in-house denny's or a $5.oo credit towards breakfast items (biscuits &gravy, an egg + a drpepper, for instance)--and the breakfast & HH beers seem to apply to all customers, regardless of rate paid. there was a slight maintenance issue with my room, but it was handled promptly.the lobby PC is a true courtesy station.the inbound desk clerk had no problem handling my choice gift card that the loyalty program sent me, and no games were played with my CC*--with that said=there was one vending machine & one guest laundry out of service, but the hotel has two of each.a worth while visit to be sure.
-there is one thing, I noticed, however:from what I could suss out, the hotel bar is a haven for area (north texas/southern oklahoma)(ahem) 'swingers' (and/or karoake)--but hey, thats just rural oklahoma for ya-good times(not illogical, since ardmore is a halfway point between two metro areas, and the hotels there are all reasonably priced).-just be aware you might be witness to some, shall we say, nontraditional mating rituals, if you visit this property's bar.(no judgment here, just observing)w that said: the staff at the bar is friendly, as is the waitstaff at the dennys, and the hotel is currently giving a way a jeep liberty (raffle tickets to be drawn in may), based on stays.(I guess they got an exemption to the no purchase neccessary rule from the OK AG for sweepstakes)
