My bed sheets were damp the entire week I was there, the replacement sheets were damp too. Pillows were very flat. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke. The indoor corridor reaked of cigarette smoke. The hotel does not air condition the inside corridor either, it was hot and muggy walking to and from my room. The breakfast counter was a mess which only included cereal, muffins and toast. There is no pool or anything for children to do while staying here. I will never stay there again and advise anyone visiting to stay here. I have stayed at Microtel before in Tennessee and it was great however, this one in Altus is below average. There is no elevator in this hotel either and they don't have A/C in the stairwell. This isn't my idea of a great value.

The Microtel in Altus is just as advertised, nothing less and nothing more. The rooms are larger than average with very basic furnishings. It is the first room I have ever stayed in that did not have any table lamps, all lights are either flourescent or in the ceiling making it difficult if you don't like bright lights. The suites do have a fairly good size refrigerator and microwave with a sink other than the bathroom sink which is convenient. The TV is mounted on top of a wardrobe closet which can make it difficult to watch without tilting your head up. The web site indicates that it has an exercise room - it doesn't but they do have access to the exercise room at the college across the street which is rather nice and has everything. The use of the facility is free of charge. Breakfast is basic with the usual waffles, donuts and cereal containers, nothing to write home about. All in all it is what you would expect - comfortable with no frills.

This is a great, affordable, clean place to stay!! I would hightly recommend as THE place to stay in Altus. The staff was awesome...they upgraded me to a suite at no charge and they helped with directions around Altus. The rooms were SUPER clean, smelled nice, and the beds were so comfortable!! The rooms are modern and effiecient. No complaints whatsoever and I will stay here again!

Very disapointed in the lack of amenities, or the lack of quality amenities. No pool, small rooms, and the breakfast was very chintzy. Felt like a sterile dorm room. nice staff, though.
