“Close to home and LOVED IT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2010

My husband and I wanted to have an evening out by ourselves without the kids for our 16th anniversary, but wanted to stay close to home. We live 7 miles from Ada and didn't really know which of the local hotels would be the best. We are so glad we stayed here. Hopefully, we can make this an annual event (at least). We stayed in the King Suite. Very spacious, very clean, and an American run, English speaking staff. They were friendly, and super attentive. My husband enjoyed the full bath both when we arrived and again in the morning. The shower was hot and water was obviously "soft" since we are accustomed to the hard Ada water at our house without the luxury of a water softener. I forgot a razor and called the front desk, and they arrived in probably 2 minutes or less with not only a razor in hand, but shaving cream as well. Complementary breakfast was the best we've ever had--hot, crisp bacon, biscuits, sausage gravy, scrabbled eggs, boiled eggs, every kind of roll or bagel you could wish for, yogurts, fruit, coffees, all types of cream cheese, coffee creamers, etc. I was so impressed. I was fixing to book a room at Renaissance in OKC Bricktown for an upcoming trip, but I'll be looking for another Holiday Inn Express with hopefully, a comparable experience!

“Excellent Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2010

Staff were friendly and rooms well appointed, spacious and clean; no problems.
The hot breakfast bar was well stocked and the dining room was large.

“Very average property”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2010

There is nothing bad about this property but there is nothing remarkable either. It is not one of the old style Holiday Inn Expresses but there is definitely a dated bland feel to it.

The king rooms have a fridge, microwave and a chair and ottoman. The problem with the room set up is that the TV is mounted on the wall and it is hard to view it from the chair so you end up sitting in bed to watch TV- kinda defeats the purpose. Not really very comfortable.

This hotel appears to be one of the newest in Ada and I would be scared to stay in a lot of the other properties I drove by. Based on that fact, I would recommend it but if there was a Hampton nearby I wouldn't stay here.

“Nice hotel, but the service isn't great and they're missing the pantry!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 March 2010 via mobile

Stayed here early March. We were given a room upgrade to a handicap king. Now we're wishing we'd stayed in smaller room. This handicap room is at the end by the highway so there is a lot of noise all night long. Our baby didn't sleep well so we didn't either. There is no heat in the bathroom and it literally hurts to walk barefoot in there. I thought the hotel staff (who had rude attitudes when we checked in) had had a change of heart when they called our room an hour later to give us the one room upgrade that we'd asked for. Now, looking back, I think they were just being [--]. When I asked if we could get a room like this at the other end, away from the highway, I was told no because we can only have the handicap room which is near the highway. She admitted that this room is intended for the deaf! We have a baby!!! Ugh
anyway, they don't have a pantry which kind of stinks too. The other Holiday Inns have them...a room where they sell soda, snacks, etc.

“TOP REVIEW: Great Hotel, Wonderful Stay, Clean Room, Great Breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2010

First - I've seen others say that they couldn't close the curtains. There are "blinders" behind the sheers that pull completely closed. We almost made the mistake of not finding them, but called the front desk & they told us they were just behind the sheers.

On to the review!

Check In
Check in was great. Even though the hotel stays full and was full at this time due to an ice storm, we checked in quickly!

Pool
Pool was wonderful. Quiet & away from the rooms. Indoor.

Breakfast
Plentiful! Omelets, bagels, muffins, sausage, biscuits & gravy, cereals, juice, etc, etc, etc. Clean eating area. Well staffed & stocked.

Room
The room was wonderful. HUGE. I could not believe the size. My husband & I usually stay in Marriotts, Hiltons, etc., but this was bigger than most of those rooms. Cleaner. Well taken care of. We had a bathroom, mini kitchen area with wet bar, sofa, desk, flat screen TV, king sized bed, chair & mirrored closet. Bed was comfortable with 2 firm pillows & 2 soft pillows. Large bathroom area. See my pictures.

Location
Great. Walking distance from shopping & dining.

Price
No complaints! They even had a winter deal where you could show your card at Rib Crib (across the street) and get 10% off your meal and show you card at the movie theater (across the street) and get a matinee price for a night show.
