We decided on the Clarion Inn & Suites for a 5 night stay despite two recent bad reviews. We found this hotel to be quite acceptable. The rooms appear to be recently remodeled and are quite comfortable. In fact we often are critical of the beds and pillows and here we had one of the best beds, pillows and as comfortable a sleep as we have had anywhere. We had a first level room and had no noise from above. The staff was most willing to please. We did have a room facing the pool which eliminated the highway noise. The spacious grounds were used by a number of groups to set up their own grills and cook out and talk. This place is ideal for these kind of gatherings. The continental breakfast was good, particularly the fresh made waffles, and the coffee was of high quality.

My experience with comfort inn’s have usually been pleasurable, however this was not. First things first, it is set up like a motel, all room doors are on the outside. I am a smoker and when you request a smoking room, you almost expect your room to have a smell of smoke. However, you don’t expect the walls of the room to have a build up on them. All wall surfaces were sticky, and yellow. The water pressure, and shower heads were poor. The tub floor felt like somebody had wiped oil all over it, it was so slick, and someone could have easily been seriously hurt. The location is not ideal; it is a truck stop exit. Lots of semi trucks making noise all night long, and there is many adult places within arm’s reach. In fact the neighboring GOGO bar sign makes the hotel actually difficult to see. I would defiantly not stay here again.

More suited for hourly rated patrons. There were pubic hairs on the sheets, when we complained they were apologetic and gave us another room; it took three rooms to get one without publc hairs on the so called "clean sheets". Rooms are old and smelly, carpets and drapes need cleaning, in and out the rooms. Needs physical repairs. The only plus is the small pool, which is open from 8 a.m until 10 p.m. Very noisey, directly at the freeway. Nicest place is the lobby, no surprise. Staff was adequate.
