Stayed 1 night @ the Comfort Inn, Located in the rear of the Mall next to the JC Penny's. Hotel's exterior ground were clean and well kept, Rooms as well were also clean. Numerous Security Camara's located on the property. Also security door seperates front lobby area from corridor leading to the rooms. 3 Locks on Door. Continental Breakfast was well kept, Waffles were the highlight.

Only negatives - Parking Lot was very Dark in the night time hours. It seems like the Hotel uses the Mall's Parking Lot for their own use, Out of the 4 Light's in the Parking lot - only 2 were working. Also - The parking lot is in terrible Shape, Potholes & Un-even pavement. It's almost like a off road course... Based on other reviews - everything about the parking lot is all true. Even with a SUV - it's rough...

As far as the Hotel it's self it was fine. The staff was kind and very professional. I have nothing negative to say about the lodging. It was fine. HOWEVER, it seems land-mines have been set off in the parking lot and the MALL, if that is what you want to call it, is responsible for the repairs. Guess what? No repairs and apparently they don't want too.....guessing that is why many of the stores inside the mall are vacant. Poor excuse of a property manager/ment. If I were the owner of the Hotel, I would not pay rent to this ( rotten) CARNATION MALL until repairs were made. If you value your shocks and tires you may want to try the Holiday Inn sure a bit more expensive, but at least the parking lot is paved, but the Comfort Inn Hotel was fine, just the parking lot and the rude and unprofessional property manager.

Very clean, quite, and very freindly, has everything within walking distance and I've been very comfortable being here. There is nothing wrong with this hotel, it is wonderful. I'm still in the room I checked into and wouldn't go anywhere else. Its not dirty, its very clean, and its very well maintained. Do not let some spoiled apples spoil your enjoyment here at this hotel. You will not regret your stay here!!!!! Trust me my husband works with the railroad, and we're not staying in shabby places!!! We've seen good bad and ugly and this is none of the above. Happy staying :)

Although the staff (when you could actually find one) was friendly, the overall quality of this hotel was far below we expected. Staff was scarce, so most areas are not monitored for cleanliness. Customers walked around the breakfast area in bare feet. Children stood on the stairs of the pool and peed straight into the water. The pool changing rooms were disgustingly dirty and
the pool floor, itself, was covered in slime. The hotel has a lot of "cosmetic issues". Tiles were missing, floors unswept, mildew in areas, and a "pet area" just outside the entrance to the hotel that didn't appear to be cleaned very often. The doors to the hotel and pool were opened at all times and no staff was present to prevent just anyone from walking into the hotel/swim area at any time. Breakfast foods were cold and stale, with nowhere near enough seats in the dining area for all the guests. Other reviews of this hotel led us to believe it was a great deal for the money... what a disappointment!
