We were attending a family funeral and selected this hotel for its proximity to the funeral home and our relatives home. Our reservations were made online as Hilton Honors members with our preferences indicated in our HH profile, "top floor, away from elevators". When we checked into the 3-story hotel, we were given a room on the second floor, but it was away from the elevator. The first night, the people above us must have been doing jumping jacks or something off and on until about 2 a.m.! Now back to the elevators....we spent quite a bit of time waiting on the elevator and hoping not to get stuck, as they were having some issues with it, though the elevator repairman was on site working on it, we weren't sure we'd make it to the next floor. On our second morning, we had no newspaper....and when we went down for coffee....no half and half.....they ran out! What!?!?! When my husband asked about the half and half, the young lady at the breakfast area just sort of shrugged it off. When I mentioned it to the desk clerk when we checked out, the response to the newspaper missing was that you had to be a certain HH level (we are Silver) to get a paper, I said well we had a paper yesterday, but none today, and we are at the Silver level. I mentioned the elevator, and the response was they'd been having trouble with it, as for the half and half the response was "yeah, I know"!
Not the best stay we've had at a Hampton, and certainly not worth the 25,000 points per night that we decided to use!
Room Tip: Well, I thought HH profile was the best, but, as usual, I don't think they even look at that inf...
