Nice hotel that has been refurbished...a pretty standard property for a Courtyard for today. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Restaurant is just ok...food seems to be assembled and heated as opposed to prepared fresh. Good location with many restaurants, grocery stores and shopping nearby.

Stayed here last week and was pleasantly surprised by the room quality. The bedding and decor was above average for a Courtyard. I slept very well on their mattresses. Their "bistro" is open limited hours with a small menu so I chose to eat offsite; however, I did have breakfast there in the morning. It was very good and the ladies working there that morning were very nice. They can even do a proper espresso onsite.

My only complaint was the lukewarm spa. At best I was looking at 96 degrees. It was kind of like the end of filling a bathtub where you are running out of hot water. There was absolutely no steam coming off the water and I wasn't feeling relaxed like I'd hoped after my two long days previous and uncomfortable plane rides. Their sign says the spa is limited to 104 degrees and I was just looking for 101 or 102, so we asked the people behind the desk if they could turn it up. The two ladies opened the control room with their key and were confronted with a knob dial and immediately said to us "We are sorry, there is a knob and only engineering is supposed to turn it." We said that we were perfectly comfortable turning the knob for them if possible and they declined and locked the door and left.

Not a very good job at solving a problem presented to you by a guest. I was a little surprised about their lack of "can do" attitude.

This property is surrounded by strip malls and restaurants. There were no crosswalks or sidewalks to be found so we had to dash across 5-6 lane roads to get to places. I wish I had a rented a car in Akron.

We stayed here because we were attending a wedding in the area, so we had many friends staying here as well. Turns out that the same price rooms seem to be 2 different sizes. We were blessed with a larger room on the parking lot side. One friend had a larger room on the opposite side and it had a nice balcony. Other friends had smaller rooms without the loveseat/coffee table that we had. Insead the room was smaller and it had a chair.

I thought it was a nice place and would stay here again. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that there is a little cafe in the lobby and when I tried to order food at 4pm I was told that no one was there and to try back later. :(

Stayed one night while in town visiting friends. Arrived early and was able to check in. Very friendly desk staff. Nice location, easy access to shopping and I-77. Housekeeping have a heavy finger on the air freshner, very strong as you walk into the hotel. Although it is suppose to be smoke-free, our room smelled of smoke. Once again, housekeeping had sprayed to try and cover the smell. Bedding was average, had a bit of a hole on one side and could probably replace the mattress. Overall, nice stay and would recommend if you are in this area.
