I had heard that the rooms smelled musty and that was true. I did not however, expect it to be long. When you walk in it is into the bedroom with the two beds and a dividing curtain. Then it narrows down to a hallway past two full baths and then back out into a kitchen and living room with a balcony. Nice and clean. The two bathrooms were a surprise. :) The disappointment was in the fact that they didn't have what I always expect hotel rooms to have tissue for your nose, coffee for the morning, and sample shampoos. I always expect those three things unless there is no coffee pot. The other thing I hated was that they make you strip your beds and stuff them in a pillowcase. :( never had to do that and I don't think I will again.

The Crystal Coast is an awesome family place and the beaches are beautiful, however Whaler really needs to update the furnishings, appliances and beach access. We had a great time but sleep was difficult with the outdated AC units and noisy carts rolling by in the early morning. Our dishwasher was falling out of the cabinet and there had clearly been a fire in the oven at some point. Still, we loved it and would go back if we got a good deal on our room like we did this time. Beware of prices, though, as they will gouge you for a resort price if you want extra nights and this is clearly not a resort. Pool is decent and the beach is awesome so have a ball!

The rooms were very clean. The view is great. We liked the place overall. The parking is very tight!!! there is enough parking for 1 car per room and is very small. The pool was clean. Dont get in the spa!! There was alot of pubic hair in the water . The water was a greenish yellow. It did not look as if it had been cleaned in a long time. The pool is in a greenhouse type building. For the price I thought they would at least take out the garbage, but that is your job. If you want clean towels or linens you have to wash them yourself.

From the outside it looks old and out dated, But when you walk into your room it is beautiful. They have put down new tile flooring, New couches, New flat screen tvs. In the past year we have stayed there atleast 5 times. My family and I just can not get enough of the WHALER INN. These people are on top of things if i had a problem they fixed it right away no matter the time. The pool is clean. Such a relaxing and wonderful place for me and my family. Cant wait to go back!
