“Not on The Beachfront,Still a great Beach property”

My wife & I are spending a 3 night vacation via Groupon @ Peppertree, and have enjoyed our stay very much. Our 2 bedroom unit on the 3rd floor in Bldg #12 offered an ocean view. My wife enjoyed the indoor pool, and we had a jacuzzi tub in our unit which she used instead of the outdoor hot tub. Our unit was very well furnished with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, paper products, lots of clean towels, all the kitchen neccessities, Flat screen TV and dvd player ,etc. The property is clean and well maintained with lots of amenities on the grounds. We got discount tickets for the NC Aquarium(don't miss if you haven't been) from the Rec center and saved some $s.There is a Food Lion grocery 1/4 mile South, and a good pizza restaurant with a lunch buffet that was a great deal. Also, had lunch at Monkey Bar & Grill in the Food Lion ctr that was both reasonable and very good sandwiches and pasta. I suggest you try & get a top floor room at Peppertree for both the view and the quiet of being on the top floor. They do have elevators(a little slow) & luggage carts available. I'm sure in mid Summer it's quite busy here, but now you can have the resort to yourself. This is not the fanciest complex we have stayed in, but it is very clean, very comfortable, staff was very friendly, and cost was reasonable for what they provided. I was quite pleased, and would both recommend to others, and plan to return ourselves in the future.

Room Tip: Try to get a top floor room

“A step back in time”

Supposedly, this Peppertree Resort was built in the 1980's and it looks and feels that way. Very friendly and helpful staff and suites are stocked well with towels, dishes, etc. However, there are NO 'no smoking' rooms which makes things tough for non-smokers. Although it was New Years Eve weekend, the weather was nice and warm so we were able to open up some doors and windows but it was impossible to totally get rid of the cigarette smoke smell. Both screen doors (one in each bedroom) were difficult to open as they didn't rest in their tracks well. Suites have no laundry facilities which would probably be a factor to those staying any considerable length of time. Furnishings and decor of suite were very dated but functional (aside from the ingrained smoke smell). The location of our room was nice as it was in the building closest to the ocean (ask for Building #25). Outside decks, steps and porches have obviously been replaced but the rooms need to be as well. Stayed three nights via a LivingSocial deal but doubt I would stay there otherwise. With that being said, the whole of Atlantic City seems rather dated as far as accomodations go. Had New Years Eve dinner at a hotel up the road (The Clamdigger) and it also looked and seemed to be a step back into the 80's. Enjoyed our daytrip to Beaufort and also enjoyed Fort Macon and the aquarium. Took a trip to New Bern but the town was virtually closed as it was New Year's Day. Still, I would gladly go back to visit the area but unless I got a really good deal, wouldn't stay at the Peppertree specifically because of the lack on non-smoking rooms.

Room Tip: Stay in building #25 if you want to be closest to the beach (which is actually a short walk across a...

“Enjoyed our stay”

Since it was off season, it was not very crowded. Even so they had a great presentation on Monday with lots of local representatives to tell about all the things to do in the area. Unless you want to purchase a $5k set of pots and pans, pass on the healthy cooking presentation.
Our room was quite nice but upon pulling down our bed linens we found many long black hairs on the sheets leading us to believe they had not been changed. Called the front desk and they sent a clean set of linens by way of a grumpy security guard. We changed the sheets and found hairs on the clean sheets also. Knowing that these were clean we assumed this must come from the laundry room staff and we let it go. Also the walls between the rooms are paperthin. We could hear the people in the next room snoring and actually turning over in their bed. The location of the property is very good being right over the bridge from Morehead City. Some of the rooms are a little walk to the beach but the beach was very nice. All in all - a great week, nice resort, good restaurants. Would stay here again.

“In Spite of the Rain”

We had a lovely time at this Timeshare, run by the Festiva organization. Our few needs were taken care of immediately. The location is excellent for family vacationing: fine restaurant a half mile to the east, and shopping center with fine grocery store, movie theater, and interesting stores a quarter mile to the west. The location permits an easy trip to Morehead City and Beaufort, which we loved. And all this besides the rain that fell five of our seven days.
We will definitely return.
