“Holiday from Hell - Dehli Belly”

Stay away from this hotel if you are looking for a good holiday.....

5am tannoy prayers, blasting through the hotel, had only been in bed an hour as we had just arrived that morning. The room had no balcony and felt as though we were in a jail rather than a pleasant stay at a hotel. Very bad lighting, dingy hole, thought the only good thing was that they had a fridge in the room, my mistake as it was disgusting, filthy and would not have kept my dog food in it.
Shower - Wouldn't like to be any bigger than a size 14, couldn't turn to reach for the soap, awful......
There was hardly any hot water if you went up to the room after 6pm. Staff were not helpful and ignorant towards the british.
Had to always ask for cups and glasses, nothing was made available and food was not covered and there was more flies inside than outside the hotel. After the second night, I ended up with stomach cramps and never had anything else to eat in the hotel afterwards, certainly do not go All Inclusive.

Nice pool area, nice beach and there was a chap who sold the Turkish Baths to us which was by far the best experience of our holiday and I would recommend this to others, but stay at a different hotel.....

“HOTEL FROM HELL.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2008

This is truely the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. we arrived at 4am in the morning and ushered to a basement room in the hotel. it had a tiny window and a lamp either side of the bed. when i refused this room i was offered another room later that day,on the top floor, which was slightly better. rooms are very basic, and not clean. our bed was changed once in two weeks ! towels changed once a week. this nis not a 4 star hotel as you would be led to beleive. more 2-3 star.we booked an all inclusive, but the food was terrible. had to beg for cups and glasses to drink from, they were always running out of tea, coffeeand cold drinks, and the staff were not happy to supply any more if asked. all meals are basic to say the least, chicken every day, reheated from the day before. lots of guests were coming down with tummy bugs !! food left uncovered and swarming with flies. no english holiday reps tp help you and the hotel reception are unhelpful, they claim not to speak english !! there are no curtesy buses from the hotel. bodrum is 45mins away. very noisy resort, rap music blasts from massive speakers beside the pool from 10am until late at night, so you cant even relax by the pool. our bed was changed once in two weeks, i had to resort to helping my self to clean sheets and towels and doing it myself !!! no balconies and only showers in rooms. no satelite tv, and a tiny fridge in the room that often did not work.this hotel is not a nice place to stay for any length of time, but if you have stay there do not go all inclusive, its a waste of money.very dissappointing and would not go back to turkey after this filthy experience.

“Malama Beach Hotel, Near Turgutreis - No Go Area”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2008

Fine looking hotel, but it stops there.
Staff spoke little English. 95% of guests are foreign.
Scramble for beds on beach at 8.00 am every morning.
Breakfast okay if you like cold boiled eggs/bread/cereal and strange milk.
Lunch and Dinner served warm/cold with soup and limited selection of dishes (mailnly chicken in various forms).
Food left uncovered for long periods (Lots of flies, childs dirty hands, heat, contamination from dishes at each side etc etc)
Limited drinks availability (one local beer - tolerable, no wine for 4 days out of 7, suspicion shorts are pre-watered down)
Rooms reasonably clean, with beds made everyday but linen unchanged.
No point at all in complaining about anything. They claim not to understand.
Cost of Taxi to nearest civilisation 20YTL (12 Euro)
Definitely will not visit this hotel again.

“good value for money hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2008

official 3 star but tour operator rated it a 4 star. id say 3 star more correct.
rooms : none of the rooms have balconies but do have a sort of terrace as the hotel is built in many separate buildings (but all in the same complex). the hotel provided clothes racks to hang out towels etc to dry over night. our room was cleaned each day but the cleaner we had only swept and mopped the floor. did not seem to ever run a cloth over table or tops of furniture. the bathroom was not cleaned in the week we were there apart from floor being brushed and mopped. beds changed 3 times during the week and clean towels every day (leave them on the bathroom floor if you want them changed). however, we spoke to other guests in hotel whos rooms were imaculate and sheets and towels changed each day. our cleaner must have been a bit lazey.
food: all inclusive, plenty of food available. breakfast - bread, ham cheeses cerials and each day a hot plate, boiled eggs, omlets etc. lunch and dinner - lots of salad, rice and pasta dishes and a selection of aprox 4 o 5 hot dishes. over all, food a 6 out of ten. never had a bad meal and always plenty of things we could eat.
snack bar - open for aprox 2 hours in the afternoon and served burger and chips.
all inclusive drinks - local beer, spirits, red wine and white wine. soft drinks served from bit bottles. there is a machine which offers some sort of powder/water juices. coffe and tea available all day. pool bar opens 1000-2300 (but some evenings closed at 2200) and beach bar open from 1000-2300 for free drinks then from 2300 till about 0200 beach bar open but you had to pay for them.
hotel facilities - pool, very clean and refreshing. reception open 24 hours and do money exchange. hotel shop (by beach bar) open most of the day and night and sells the basic stuff.
beach - past the pool and down about 10 steps. very very nice private beach. sun beds free and you can hire a mat from the hotel shop for a euro a day (well worth it). sea water very clean and very refreshing.
facilities outside of hotel - 1 small taxi rank, and about 300 yards down the road, two or three shops selling basic stuff.
local bus service to nearest town. bus stop at hotel and takes about 15 mins to turgetreis which has a nice port and lots of shops bars and places to eat.
overall - hotel and area exactly what we wanted. if you want a week doing nothing but sat by pool or beach then this is the hotel for you. if you want more facilities goto bodrum but its like the blackpool of turkey!
we would go back to same hotel again. good value for money, staff very friendly.
