I would like to add Kortan to your recommended restaurants. We have just returned from 2 weeks in Turgutreis and on our beach days we used Kortan everyday for a late lunch and several evenings for dinner. The deal is that if you use the free beach-beds, then they ask that you patronise their bar / restaurant; there is no need to move, Zico will attend to your every need ALWAYS with a pleasant welcoming smile and a bit of a chat. After your lunch of which there is a wide variety of choice, a plate of chilled, sliced water-melon appears, just when you most need it; how clever is that ? Jack oversees the bar / restaurant, again always ready with a smile & a word or several and one feels that he is genuinely pleased to see you; go twice and you're recognised like an old friend. A special word for Martin who entertained our family far and away beyond his duty for which I thank him most sincerely. By the way, the food was always very good , try the beef or chicken casserole in the amphora and the fresh fish dinner we had was superb. There are many places to eat in town; we just loved this one.
