“Great value and friendly hotel”

We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning and were very impressed with reception and communal areas. Although being tired from travelling and being dark, the first impressions of our room (annexe under restaurant) weren't great! However, waking up with the sun shining in and seeing the sea from my window our views changed completely. There were always sinners available, drink and food all day. We had pancakes and cheesy bread bites at certain parts of the day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were very nice! Yes, there wasn't a huge variety, but what was there was really fresh and tasty. I wouldn't take my 2 year old as it isn't really child friendly. However we loved our week away there and have just booked to go back for a fortnight in July this year. I would definitely recommend.

“Not for young families”

We travelled to Acacia with on the beach. We (2 Adults & 2 kids 6 & 4) were travelling from Scotland and our friends were travelling from northern ireland (2 Adults & 2 kids 7 & 1) and we were meeting for a group holiday. The hotel although gorgeous location with beautiful views, there were so many steps. It was a struggle to take the 1 year old anywhere in his buggy and he was still not able to walk. We basically spent the whole week carrying the buggy around the complex. The pool is so small. There were games on in the pool which meant the kids had to get out or go into the kids area, which was about the size of a small paddling pool. The reason we picked this hotel was because it stated kids club. The kids club was basically for an hour int he morning and at night and was making pictures or they could paint a t-shirt or pillowcase at a high cost.. There was a kids rep and she was lovely and tried really hard. However the whole complex was not equipped for kids. The stage for the kids disco, was pitch black at night and on the sea pier. There was an old rust fence running along the side. I didnt feel relaxed at all. There was no real entertainment on at night and it is so far away that the kids basically sat playing the DS and we played cards. The food was dire. To start with we tried to make the best of a bad situation, neither myself my husband or our kids are particularly bad eaters but we struggled after about 3 days. There is however an absolutely gorgeous kebab restaurant down the hill on your right hand side. There kebabs are brilliant. Our best part of our holiday was out on the Boat trip on the boat called the Derin Boat, we had a brilliant day, just to get away from the hotel for while. We normally go on holiday for a fortnight, I have never been so please that we only booked for a week. The complex is ideal if you are going on a quiet couple holiday.

“NEVER AGAIN”

Worked all year earning hard earned cash just to sit in the freezing cold eating offal. Worst vacation ever , no entertainment , pool and dining areas are very slippery and dangerous where it was raining all day. Even the main stairs from reception to dining areas very dangerous to older people and younger children. There are no disabled facilities. Even near the rooms are big pools of water lying. So please have some improvements straight away.

“DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN UNDER 10”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2010

the staff are very friendly. the management will help in any way they can except one important factoer. the pool. there are no non-slip mats on the tiled flooring around the pool. i saw two bad accidents where children had slipped and smashed their face. one child broke his eye socket just from slipping on these very dangerous floors. women men children and babies were falling all the time. lots of guests complained and asked for non slip mats. the pool is small so wouldnt be expensive and there are also no signs waring of slippery floors. it was so dangerous. the food was very basic. chicken every night, sometimes they even served the leftovers for breakfast the next morning. breakfast is eggs or ham salade every day. you have to walk down alot of steep steps to get to the beach where the sand is very gravelly. the brocure also states a childs pool. this is a corner that fits 3 children under 3 in and is also very slippery, there is no where near the childs pool to sit and watch them. the hotel doent have basic health and safety. the first aider only works on certain days and there is no life guard. this hotel is ideal for a young couple or group of friends who want to party during the day round the pool and have somewhere to sleep. the rooms are ok and they are clean. the resturant is outside the is no indoor eating so you do get the odd splash from the pool while eating. lots of stairs everywhere. NOT FOR FAMILYS OR PEOPLE WHO CANNOT MANAGE LOTS OF WALKING AND LOTS OF STAIRS

“Lovely Location.......Lovely Staff.......shame about the rest!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2010

We arrived at 12pm......the hotel looked desolate but bearing in mind the time overlooked this fact. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 teenage boys........
As daylight descended the hotel was lovely, reception areas very clean on going down to breakfast you had an option of hard boiled eggs or hard boiled eggs! The food options got no better throughout the week. There was only 27 guests at the hotel and it was closing down for the season......no food options the food was apalling! We asked to move hotels and the rep Anne was less than useless........she was rude and aggresive she never even got back to us with a price for the move to another hotel basically I dont think she gave a damn never book with Olympic........
There was nothing for the children to do, no entertainment just had to make our own and unfortunatley we were not near other restaurants or bars etc.,
On seeing how upset we were the reception manager Mehmet did his utmost to make our stay as great as poss......he was great! I am going to mention the staff because without their input and help our holiday turned out to be a 'fun one' after all the troubles etc.,
Ahmed the barman was super and looked after us well, Musti who was in the animation team earlier in the season was absolutely great with the kids and sorted them out with things to do. I have to say that credit where credit is due the management must be proud to have these people working for them and otherwise hang their heads in shame given the food choice and lack of entertainment available albeit later in the season....it was advertised so should have been acted upon.
Do not under any circumstances book Olympic and have Anne as your rep..........attitude stinks, no empathy, nothing, we even had to wait half an hour for her to arrive for the transfer bus to airport......bus arrived before her.
Hotel if you are reading this, please sort out the entertainment, food, etc., as you have the makings of a great hotel locationwise!
