“Really enjoyable stay ....would go back !!”

Despite reading some awful reviews on here...we were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived at hotel around 4am....courteous staff on reception..carrried bags to rooms. Fridge in room, with bottle of water..as we were very thirsty after our 2 hrs transfer..however we were last on the list to be dropped off..it generally takes half an hour. The room was clean, overlooked the sea..view could have been better..The bedding and towels were changed daily...The staff were polite, courteous, and friendly. I went with my 22 yr old daughter, who i would say is a very fussy eater !! We thought the food was wonderful. Every morning for breakfast you could choose from cereals, to turkish breakfast, to fruit, juice, tea, coffee, bread. Lunchtimes they served a meat dish, or chicken/fish or stuffed aubergines, with a huge choice of salads and vegetables. For dinner the same, a huge array of salads, vegetables, bread, meat, pasta, had chips once only. The pool was lovely, not huge, but big enough to cool off in. On our second day the hotel staff arranged water polo, which was great fun. I also witnessed some guests doing water aerobics...which they said was real fun..The beach is literally on the doorstep.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere..so be prepared to take a dolmus (local bus) cost about 2 turkish lira...bout 80p, or a taxi which are still very cheap. Be warned....the roads are not well made, and the bus travels pretty fast, my heart was in my mouth...especially looking down to the sea !! However, this is turkey !! And they dont have health and safety like us europeans !!

If you want to holiday with lots of holidaymakers that arent wanting to experience a little turkey, want burger and chips and wear union jack shorts..this is definitley not the place for you !!

Visited the market..but were warned about the market traders.. They were not wrong..we were abused, shouted at, touched and ripped off at every possible chance they had. None of the bags are leather...!!!!

Not a sandy strip..but although i didnt go there...friends we made at the hotel, said that the beach 5 mins walk away was beautiful, with a sandy strip, with shallow water. We went all inclusive and considering we paid £320 for a week..I think all in all I was really happy with our holiday. I would definitely go back .

“Totally perfect holiday....”

We are a family of 4 and this was our second consecutive visit to Club Acacia - it was another wonderful family holiday, even better than the first year. The vibe is relaxing and hospitable.

If you are after a very lively hotel with lots of other English people to hand out with, burgers, chips, Enlgish breakfasts, night clubs and kareoke nights etc.. this is definately NOT the place for you. However if you are after a hotel with an exceptional location right on the water front with stunning views, simple yet comfortable rooms, a well-run low-key entertainments programme where there is something for everyone, a restaurant serving typically delicious Turkish Food along with a small selection of western dishes, very friendly and polite staff - then this is the place for you!

What makes the hotel special is the friendliness of the staff, the fact that the you get clean towels and bedding daily, the lovely lady who sits and makes traditional Turkish pancakes from 11-4pm daily. 2 minutes from the hotel is the beach, with watersports, sunbeds, bars and restaurants.

If you want to get out and about then pick up a bus from outside the hotel 10mins one way to nearest town Turgetreis where there is bazar, bars and some lovely restaurants, along with a popular Marina and bustling harbour front where you get daily boat rides. 50 minutes the other way will take you to Bodrum where you can spend the day or night, exploring.

It's a great place to stay and I would return next year.

Room Tip: The best rooms are either in the Annexe by the beach quiet and newer or those with big terraces in t...

“Shocking”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

Hotel and weather fantastic, however if you like eating don't go. Food shocking. Children survived on rice for two weeks, you could have eggs for breakfast and eggs no other food provided. No toaster no tea. No set menu to the buffet just seemed random products. If you like sprouts then you can have every day hot or cold. Desserts inedible apart from one day of our stay.

Room Tip: Take your own food

“Great little friendly hotel, lovely location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

We booked late and were a little concerned with some of the bad reviews, however we need not have been. The food was plentiful and quality good, always fresh melon or grapes to accompany your meal. There was not much in the way of evening entertainment, but the animation team were energetic and keen. If you are looking for a relaxing break then this is an excellent location.
On arrival we were allocated a poolside room (223) and told that we could move if we didn't like it. The room was very noisy as it was next to the kitchen, but we were moved after our second night with no problem. Throughout the staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for the annex and avoid poolside rooms - they can be very noisy

Wide variety of food, loads of lovely fresh salads, Rice dishes, Chicken Aubergines sweet breads all regularly changed.Special themes on every meal,i.e. BBQ night, Kebab night, Spag bol night, just don't expect burgers and chips. Turkish Pancakes handmade daily included. the variety is excellent. Nice and Quiet with helpful Staff Reception manager gave us his own room on the last day to shower and change. Nice and quiet after midnight so the kids could sleep easily. Clean pool and lovely waterfront. A little careworn in places yes but Scrupulously clean (towels changed daily and rooms tidied well), excellent value Would go again. Thanks to the staff for a lovely healthy stay. The Aircon was a godsend and the refrigerator a boon!
