“not five star”

My husband and I stayed here for a week 3/10/11, leaking ceiling in our room, tiny room, not five star in any way, the weather was poor and there is only one small bar covered, if it rains there is nothing to do. We couldnt even get a coffee without running the gauntlet to the reception area where the bars are as the pool bar had shut due to the weather, food was ok but 5 star should be better, spag bol on the menu every evening!! We flew with thomson, never ever again service was shocking they dont give a damn about the custmers once they have your money. We would never return to this hotel, the evening we left it was pouring and thundering and lightening and the reception where you have to wait is not covered, we ended up standing in the luggage room, it definately was not five star, dont waste your money if you want 5 star go to lara beach in turkey, not voyage torba where your made to feel second class as they have much better acccomadation but even if you offer to pay you cant upgrade with thomson as they are reserved for other nationalities not english.
Its not a cheap holiday but we wasted our money, we should have gone to butlins lol we would have had better service room and food.

Room Tip: try to upgrade or dont go

“Good Place for Families ...”

We travelled here in the last week of June 2010, not 2011.

There were about 25 of us, including about 8 kids. The buffet was decent, because of our numbers we never went to any of their restaurants, however the food was not bad.

The rooms were value for money, the beach clean and service was decent.

I would recommend for friends / families - great place!

Weather was great, rooms great, food great, entertainment good, loved the beach decks.
We went there for some R+R after a busy summer and really enjoyed it, the only issue I have is the restaurant service, it was poor.

“Could be better!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

We stayed for one week from 24th Oct.2011 with 4 friends. We are used to 5 star all inclusive in Turkey so can comment with the benefit of experience. We understand that this was the end of the season and the weather not great, but if an hotel calls itself 5 star then it must meet high standards in all areas, and this hotel does not.It helps if you remember that this is a holiday village and that most things are outside. There is no splendid reception area or main hotel building in which you can relax if the weather is bad.The restaurants are mainly open sided as are the bars, so if the weather is cold, windy or wet you will get it inside the area.We did not have one hot meal throughout our stay. Our friends had no hot water in their room, and this is unforgiveable in a 5 star hotel. There is only one small bar which is inside and this is unable to cope with the numbers of guests attempting to find somewhere to have a drink in the warm in the evening.
Rooms are in small buildings scattered throughout the complex. They are small but just about adequate although not of 5 star quality. The grounds are beautifully laid out and the pool areas are really nice and cater for all types of guests, whether you require lively childrens areas with slides or quiet adult only zones.
The beach area is good with some classy beds, and the views are fabulous looking out to the islands in the bay.
Staff were friendly and obliging and tried hard to help in every way,but please remember that they have to speak about 5 different languages in order to deal with all the guests, so have some patience and smile!,you will get better service.
The main restaurants need cleaning ,painting and updating urgently, they are well below 5 star standard.
Having said all that, I think that ,in summer, this place is a whole lot better when the weather is good, but, believe me, you do not want to be here when it is cold!n this respect, the travel agents who book your holidays should let you know this in advance;after all, this is not a cheap holiday, and you could go to the Paloma Pasha resort in Ozdere or the Concorde de lux in Lara beach for the same money, and get the true 5 star treatment.
Turkey is the best holiday destination, but not the Voyage torba!

“Dont go there!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

First the Good bits:-
Lovely area. Gardens, swimming pools and beach are great.

Now the bad bits:-
Everything apart from one Bar is outside/open to the elements, including the Main Buffet resaurant. So if you go out of the main summer season you will eating your dinner with a coat on. The service in the main restaurant is shocking. The waiters were disorganised and you didn't know if you would be shown to a table or just help yourself. The main restaurant resembled a works canteen more than a 5* restaurant. In the whole of our stay we never had a hot meal. It was always cold or at best luke warm. Never been to a 5* hotel where you had to stir your coffee with a wooden stick. 7 ala carte restaurants to choose from, but in 7 days of trying to book, we managed to get in just twice. Every day there would be a queue of people outside Guest services complaining about the automated booking system that didn't work. Staff were so thick skinned they didn't care.
The entertainment ampitheatre is on the far side of the complex and the nearest bar is on the opposite side. So you cannot sit and enjoy what entertainment there was with a drink!
The rooms are small and the bathroom even smaller. The sink was in the bedroom. Not very dignified when trying to wash with the rest of the family watching!!
On arrival no plug in sink and no glasses to drink out of and the patio chair was broken. 4 phone calls and two days later the plug arrived at 22.30 at night and the glasses never turned up.

Overall a very poor hotel. Who ever gave this hotel a 5* rating should be sacked.
