We were 2 couples on our annual holiday, arrived 6AM in the morning. Taken to our rooms at the top of the hillside, no lights, kept tripping. When we got to our rooms there was no electricity, which took 45mins and 4 men to sort out. The same morning we arked to be moved, were told tomorrow. we insisted and was moved to lower level. The rooms were filthy, couldn't unpack, no hot water, electricity kept going off. Bare wires in the bathroom, holes in the flooring, hole in the wall under the air con. Bar kept running out of beer, spirits, mixers even sugar. No snack bar. Same cold food every day, no variation. Smell of sewerage constantly during the day. Had enough after one day paid to be moved to another hotel in Gumbet..

we believed we were going to TERRA BODRUM, hotel has its own website which looks like a 5* hotel. Had we known it was formally the regal we would of never went, the food was awful and cold, the hotel was dirty. we arrived one oclock in the morning and had to change rooms 5 times due to the dirt, each room was gettting dirtier and dirtier with holes in the floor. eventually we found a half decent room which was across the road and 156 steps away from the main part of the hotel. im a fit 22 year and the steps really were hard work! Everyone we spoke to had changed rooms and nobody was happy.

Management of the hotel are an absolute disgrace, would not speak to you when we were trying to complain and basically laughing in our faces. we made the most of the holiday by drinking the watered down alcohol.
It is an absolute rip off, but talking to a local he informed us the hotel changes its name every year due to the bad reviews. So if you come across Terra Bodrum it is inface the regal.

Myself and my partner booked this holiday thinking it was going to be a nice get away for a week but in the end it turns out we don't want to go back to turkey again! We arrived at this hotel and was greeted in such a unwelcome manner the staff could clearly not be bothered. We was taken up to our rooms to find the room was not ready there was rubbish and crumbs all over the floor the beds were bare and the toilets were foul his excuse was that this wasn't our room he went back to reception while we waited. When he came back he said he would take us to a better room and it clearly wasn't when we walked in! The toilet was filthy the bath had all black footprints in and hairs all round the bath. The whole room was falling to pieces and we were just gutted. We didn't feel safe at all as most of the doors that we saw all looked like someone had tried to break in. We thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt and went down to reception and asked if someone could please come and clean the bathroom. They sent someone up to do this and he did clean the bath but that was about it. I was quite upset and just couldn't bare staying in this so called 4 star. The whole hotel was falling to pieces and the electrics are so dangerous with all the wires hanging out. Myself and my partner decided to go and see if we could find another hotel this wasn't ideal but just could not stay there and we did and it was across the road the Otel Zeytinada they were so kind to us and made us feel very welcome as i was quite upset. They couldnt do enough for us all week and it was just nice to have a clean room and good food. When we checked out of the Regal resort that same day we arrived all we got was '0k' no apology no nothing and a rather mardy looking girl they were so rude and had no manners. So overall not that happy with our holiday as it turned out to be quite a expensive holiday but the staff at the Otel Zeytinada new the circumstances and were very kind and helpful. Sadly our experince did put us off turkey as it was our first time. I hope if you are going to this hotel that it will be ok for you but if you havn't booked it i would advise you not to.

Im not moaney person when i go on holiday all i really care about is room being clean and food half descent well this "HOTEL" didnt do cater any of those needs. Iv been to Turkey 5 times so I know when they say 5 star it actually means 3 star however this hotel would struggle for a 1 star ! Dont be fooled by there website the pictures look awesome but really there not, I was 19 and my girlfriend was 18 when we went on our first holiday there and it was terrible the food was atrocious the service was shocking they couldnt speak english, it was June when we went, so it was roasting our air con in our room kept on breaking but they couldnt understand when i was trying to tell them ! the location torba has beutiful scenery but thats it ! its 2 bus journeys to gumbet which we loved cos its so lively but you have to get taxi back and that costs a fortune.
The hotel its self is on a hill and one night when we came back drunk i decided to count how many stairs there was to our room lol well there was 215 and the worst part was we were only half the way up !!!! It was mostly turkish there from instanbul on there hols they were a few other brits but like us they were furious to be misled about the hotel.
Please if you have already booked please cancel it even if it costs you your deposit because you will hate it !!! even now when im typing about the hotel i get annoyed about it !
