We actually had our Honeymoon here! We thoroughly enjoyed our eleven night stay.

The Hotel basic, the room was a little old fashioned and the bathroom past its best. There was a problem with hot water and the comments about not bringing in drinks are true. All that said there are better rooms available for more money and we took out own kettle and drinks in to our room it is just a matter of being discreet.

The staff are excellent, they are friendly, helpfull and courteous like most Turkish people. Another Brit had a problem with his suitcase and the staff leant him a screwdriver and located some screws of the right size to fix it.

We used the breakfast area, the bar, the pool and had two evening meals at the hotel, could not find fault with anything. At the bar the beer was ice cold, the cocktails were mixed perfectly and the bar man was witty and entertaining with all the guests. The food in the restaurant was a credit to Turkish cuisine, though English and other dishes were available.

The Hotel is in a great location a short walk from the bars, restaurants and beach but far enough away that the noise from the town is dulled. The Dolmus goes from the road nearby in both directions to/from Bodrum.

Would recommend the Hotel to anyone, be realistic though and don't expect too much luxury, given how much you pay.

The beds were very uncomfortable, the shower barely worked, they played music till five in the morning (the walls were vibrating). We were aggressively confronted when taking a carrier bag holding some drinks bought from a shop round the corner back to our room, and told we had to buy them from the bar! The next day there was a sign in the hotel entrance area- drinks not to be brought onto the premises! The young male Turkish staff were all over a single,middle aged lady and her thirteen year old daughter like a rash, it was disgusting. Pick a different hotel

The service at this hotel is just amazing, it is run by a family and the boys in the family take on a huge part of the job and will do anything to help. We arrived early not expecting to be able to check in but it was not an issue at all and as soon as we needed help, internet, directions, they were there. The rooms are clean, maybe somewhat older, but in good shape. Make sure you ask for the AC remote if it isn't in the room. The breakfast was ok as well, I'm not too big a fan of the classic "Turkish breakfast" in the morning, but you get bread, marmalade, cereals, egg, and you can order cooked breakfast if you'd like. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, service is excellent and friendly and the only reason to go somewhere else would be if you prefer a newer hotel/more stars/better equipped rooms and maybe in a quieter area, although if you go to Gumbet, quiet is probably not what you're looking for. For the price, Yildiz hotel it is very good value for money.

Well run family hotel in central location in Gumbet. 5 min walk to beach, failrly quiet although occassionaly some night noise.
Only had breakfast and this was basic but nice, very turkish and not european at all.
The service was excellent and they were obviously trying to please.
Rooms were basic, but clean and serviced daily.
