Not long back from my trip to la rosa. La rosa is a lovely hotel up the hill from the main streets of gumbet. The hotel is very clean and friendly. The pool and bar area are beautiful with plenty of loungers and shady corners and inlets to avoid the sun. The pool area is kept immaculately clean and you constantly see it's maintenance continued.
The staff in the hotel are great, billal on reception is very helpful and will advise you on anything in the area you need to know. Denis on night reception always hasa warm smile also.
In the restaurant and bar the staff are great. Always willing to lend a hand. Before I came on this trip I read a lot of negative comments and I must say they were untrue and unfair as I found the staff of Bayram and ali willing and helpful at all times.
I was traveling with a group and these two did everything possible to help us and guide us in having an even better holiday.We had so much fun in their company by the bar , by the pool and in the restaurant. They are very quick and their grasp of the English language means that they are very humorous if you take the time to speak to them.
There were another two younger staff who I cannot even attempt to spell their names but these two always had a smile on their faces ;)
The only member of staff I had any problem with was David who should really keep his opinions to himself, he was the only member of staff I could see becoming too "familiar" with the guests. He was also rude to you if you were wise to his ways !!!

I think we are too old for swinging Gumbet but the La Rosa Hotel suited us just fine.
Apart from an initial hiccup when we arrived at 4am and were put in 2 separate rooms instead of the" suite" we had booked, we were satisfied with most things.
The "suite", to which we were moved later in the morning, was small but adequate, and much quieter than rooms in other parts of the hotel. The bathroom was rather jaded, though, and the supply of warm water very erratic. As the temperature was in the 40s most of the time, this didn't bother us unduly.
We enjoyed the breakfasts and certainly felt no need to go hunting the town for a "full English". We also had lunch and dinner in the restaurant a few times and always enjoyed the meals which were very reasonably priced.
The pool area is lovely. There are plenty of sunbeds, lots of shade under the palms if you don't fancy frying and a handy pool bar. Our one criticism of this area is that the music the bar staff play all day is very loud, boring and in some cases totally inappropriate for a family hotel.
We found the staff polite and friendly without being over familiar. At no time did we witness any improper behaviour as has been reported in other comments on this site.
All the waiters were efficient and helpful,quite willing to talk if you wished, but never intrusive. The daytime receptionist is particularly helpful. He knows everything there is to know about the area, from the location of the nearest ATM (just across the main road behind the hotel) to how to get to any of the peninsula's beaches (dolmus).
We would certainly stay at La Rosa again IF it were in another town. We found Gumbet loud and dirty with a filthy beach area away from all the beachfront hotels. Apart from a couple of good restaurants we didn't rate it at all.

i have recentley just come back home from 2weeks in turkey, we stayed at hotel la rosa and can i just say what a fantastic time i had and will definatley return. The rooms are standard, housekeeping is good. The pool area lovely. Now the staff (i dont care what anyone says who has been to hotel la rosa, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE STAFF are so friendly, treat everyone the same, so easy to get along with, these include DAVUT, ALI, BAYRUM and many more they are all lovely). i wouldnt recommend this hotel if you have walking difficulties though as the hotle is on a steep hill. The hotel is situated about 10mins away from the bars restuarant. All of the guys that work here are all lovely and sweet they made my holiday!!!

this hotel is one of the best i have stayed in! David is honestly the best bar man, makes you feel welcome and so does Ali. The cute waiter in the restraunt is quiet but when hes on a night out, he comes out of his shell. as for byram, hes someone who cant control his man hood. he wrote me notes saying how much he likes me and following me around and watching me all the time. but he is a nice guy when hes not doing all that.
the hotel is very nice and the music is good. i would definatly go back!
