“Great location good resort good hotel”

We stay for 2 weeks in September, the location of the hotel is excellent just a few mins from the long beach with free sunbeds and brollies, easy waking distance to bar street if thats what you like without the noise plenty of really good restaurants and bars we eat at the colmbus 3 times the Family Door a couple of times and also at the hotel a twice all of which were excellent and great service and bril value.
The head waiter arranged a day boat trip which was cheap and worth every penny- thanks for that.
The staff at the hotel from the cleaners to waiters bar staff etc worked extreemly hard were very friendly and and made you feel welcome nothing was to much trouble.
They are just some of the good points as there are to many to mention. The down points block D really not recommended tiny rooms with tiny bathrooms the balcony was a joke, air con payable locally as every where in Turkey so when it was not working properly (needed regasing) we had to insist that it be repaired Hany was not keen, we also told him the room was tiny he just srugged his shoulders, we did find out late in our stay that most people had been moved out of block D when rooms became available - the hotel was busy- other blocks had big balconys and larger rooms which looked really nice. Aroom like that would have made our holiday.
All in all we really enjoyed the hotel (apart from block D) and aked if we returned next year could be have another room we were given a card with the email address and told to email when we had booked and they would do there best, so we will see as we have booked again for next September and will be emailing regularly. We booked both holidays with Jet2 Holidays.com

Room Tip: Avoid Block D at all costs

“You Get What You Pay For”

The Hotel is dated, could do with a good clean and tidy up (toilet pan could do with a bit of bleach).Staff are helpful & friendly. The Hotel holds wedding parties which takes over the restaurant/bar area, there were four in our two week stay.
Overall it was ok,and for the price it was good value.
I nearly forgot to say about the cats,I seen five different ones, and some guest feed them.So at breakfast & times when you eat in the restaurant you will hear a few Me Ows. On Turkey standards this was Good value for the cost.

Room Tip: Avoid D Block

Myself, my finance and my fiance's parents all stayed at the Hotel Bagevleri from 9th - 23rd September 2011 and cannot praise the hotel enough. On arrival late in the evening on 9th there was an issue with room availability (a fault of the tour operator, not the hotel) so Hotel Bagevleri arranged for us to stay in a hotel next door until the next day. The same evening, by way of compensation we were given a complimentary meal and drinks.

On the following day we were then given our rooms at the Hotel Bagevleri which were lovely. One of the rooms was located on the first floor and the other on the ground floor by the pool. Our rooms were cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis and we genuinely could find no fault with both our rooms and the hotel itself. The staff were always friendly and accommodating .... A special thanks should go to our favourite barman, Peter and also Renzo for making our stay so special and organising us some memorable day trips!

The facilities were great including the pool and restaurant/patio area. Everything was so clean and the hotel was close to the bars and shops but without being noisy.

For anyone who is considering a stay in Gumbet, I would thoroughly recommend this family run hotel to you. The staff and guests (from young families, couples and singles) all made our stay a holiday to remember and we will definately be staying there again!!

Many thanks Hotel Bagevleri!! - from the Henson family ;)

“Great resort, good location, average hotel”

Stayed here end of August 2011. Arrived during the night and they put us into a room that had not been cleaned properly and there was a really bad smell in the bathroom. Even closing the door did not get rid of it. Complained straight away and moved later that morning to a better room but noisy during the night. Pool and bar really good. Breakfast the same as most in Turkey but make sure you ask for orange juice as this is free with breakfast but waiters don't ask you (we found out through someone else). Aircon charge is a bit over the top (£20 per week). There was a turkish wedding one night and everywhere was spring cleaned for this and the pool lights left on. Every other night the lights in the pool were turned off and the area was really dark walking around the pool to your room. More effort made for the locals!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms in the far right hand corner.
