Spent 2 weeks here in September. Although the room was not refurbished, it was more than adequate. It was clean and comfortable. Our main concern had been the proximity to Bar Street and consequent noise. We requested a quiet room and had no problems at all.
Staff were extremely friendly( and entertaining!).
Beautiful spot for beach and restaurants.
Eric, Ferrari and Seamus from Hotel Beach Bar were extremely attentive and worked really hard.
Basic breakfast at Hotel Baba but if wanted some excellent breakfasts minutes away.
Disappointing in evening as poor availability on menu - said it was because of end of season.
But there are numerous restaurants in Gumbet so was not a problem.
All in all, we had an excellent holiday. Hotel Baba, Gumbet and the weather were great.
And don't miss Turkish bath and massage. Unbelievable!
We will be returning next year! See you all then.

This was our 5th time staying at the Baba. We missed 2 years while it was closed and this was our first visit since it re-opened. It is now half its original size but this hasn't detracted from its appeal. Previous stays had all been booked through a travel agent but we couldn't get right dates or right airport doing it this way so booked hotel, flights and transfer all separately. You can book the hotel direct on their website. Booked the flights direct with Monarch (Luton flights at sensible times) and arranged airport transfer (minibus for 9 of us) with Resorthopa. All went like clockwork. We booked Bed and Breakfast, and spent the week working our way through the top restaurants from the Trip Advisor review list for our evening meal. Never had a bad meal all week. We are returning next year to celebrate my 60th brithday and we will do it the same way again. Ignore the bad reviews about this hotel. we love it, we love the staff and we love Gumbet. I highly recommend it. See you all next year

What a great holiday, great location as the map shows as you look out into the bay the hotel BABA is dead centre and walk out the front of the hotel it's a two minute walk to the shops and bars.

The room we stayed in was refurbished recently the bathroom spacious and well layed out with double shower it even had a hair dryer
the main bedroom had tv with loads of channels including BBC news Channel, there's also fridge and safe. Aircon was also in place and worked well in the hot afternoon.

Breakfast was enjoyable with a help yourself buffet style meal, tea,coffee and juice were also readable available

We spent most day's on the beach and ate reasonably priced meals with both English and Turkish dishes from the BABA bar. The bar staff were very helpful, Eric,Ferrari And Shamus all deserve a mention

I have stayed at Hotel Baba on a few occasions now, the last stay being October 2006. Since this time the hotel has become a lot smaller than its original size and I was anxious that it would have lost its original charm....how wrong I was!

The rooms have been refurbished, the bathrooms are what you would find in a 4/5 star property and the rooms now have fridges. We always book ground floor, pool facing terrace rooms as we love having the outside space. We had 4 rooms for our party and we were all very happy with them.

The location of this hotel is perfect, on the beach and a stone's throw from Bar Street. The staff are so attentive and will go out of their way for you all the time. Was great to see some old faces there, Seymus and Eric we love you long time, he he!

We all went on the boat trip again and it was a great day out, food was superb.

Our party age range went from 19-60 and we all had a fab time! There really is something for everyone at this place!

Only another year to wait til I return!!!!!
