“Fantstic All-Inclusive Holiday!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Turkbuku HIlton last August and I think it is the best all-inclusive holiday we have had. The hotel was in a good location high up on a hill-top so there were beautiful views from the lobby bar and restaurant balcony. There were regular shuttle buses to Bodrum and Turkbuku if you wanted a change of scenery during the day or in the evening, although you could easily spend all your time in the hotel as there were many activities on offer besides just sunbathing by the sea of one of the 3 pools. The hotel is very large, and it has a very family-orientated feel. The staff walk around the swimming pools in the morning to ask if you would like to take part in one of the many activities they offer, such as yoga, water aerobics, water volley, etc, but they won't hassle you if you tell them you don't want to join in. Waiters come around regularly to take drink orders or bring you complimentary coffee while you sunbathe. Every evening there is some kind of entertainment, and it is of a high qulaity, unlike other hotels I have been to. While we were there we saw a Mongolian Acrobatic act and a traditional Turkish band.

Also, the food is delicious, and there is a wide variety! The hotel also has several other restaurants that all-inclusive guests can eat at for a discounted price.

The one minus point I would note is that loud music is played quite a lot in the non all-inclusive part of the hotel which is across the water from all-inclusive guests. You can hear it, but I was so relaxed that I enjoyed it, however it could be annoying to some people. The hotel runs an outdoor disco twice a week for all the family, and the music can be heard from the rooms, but it finishes at 12 so shouldn't cause much of a disturbance.

If you enjoy all-inclusive holidays, I would highly recommend staying here!

“Booked for may 2012”

I've booked this hotel for may 2012 and payed for all inclusive but keep seeing comments that it's changing to full board plus I've rang my tour operator Thomas Cook who say that they have a written contract between them and the hotel to sell the holiday all inclusive so that's what I will be getting! I've emailed the hotel and have had no reply I just want to know what going on and what full board plus means and how much are extras after paying for all inclusive?

“All inclusive will be sadly missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

Let's get the less than excellent bits out of the way first - we arrived and were taken to a very nice looking room at the outside of the hotel with an outlook to a hedge, so we were moved to a room at the front of the main building with most of the sea view we had paid for. The furniture was quite good but the balcony was very small, the marble floor had "seen better days" and there was no bath (but a big shower room). The corridor on the 5th floor looked like the approach to the electric chair - four lights out, not one picture or plant, and yes, the same sad marble floor, broken in places. Not really up to five star standards.

That said, the food was fabulous (especially when the hotel was full with conference delegates) if a little cold at times. The drink was endless if you required and the staff were friendly, attentive and professional - I would give six stars to them if I could. The surroundings were very picturesque and the pools, beach and loungers were so well maintained - a real lesson here for many other hotels!

Will I go back? I certainly will if the "all inclusive" deal is available, but it seems as though the tarif is going to be full-board and pay for drinks. If this is the case, you might like to know that there is no other hotel or bar in walking distance - its about 25 minutes to Bodrum and a taxi to Turkbuku costs around 30 Lira - you might be at the mercy of Hilton bar prices?

By the way, don't be misled by the brochure claims that Turkbuku is like the South of France - it was quite a disapointment to me and we did get "taken on" with two very expensive drinks in a fly-blown bar - we hurried back to the Hilton!

Thank you for your post. It is a great pleasure to read your nice comments about the service and our team members. We woudl like to inform you that we have started necessay repair and renovation works in our hotel. We will be very happy to welcome you back next year. Although we will switch to Full Board Plus concept, the drinks you will get with your meals will be all included and the prices for extras will be very attractive.
