just arrived back home from summer gardens(12/09/11) it was our first visit to Bitez(have been to many places in Turkey) and was pleasently surprised, plenty of restaurants/bars on the beach front the food was excellent in all those we tried, a lot quieter than bodrum/gumbet which suited us, bodrum only 15mins on dolmush(cost 3TL) gumbet for a nite out 15TL by taxi.
We stayed in a self catering studio apartment which although was basic was more than adequate for us as a couple( had no intention of cooking lol but would of been able to do so if required) room was very clean and cleaning staff came in everyday(linen and towels changed regularly) found all staff pleasent and helpful espechially Farooq (Taz) he was laff a min and Bobby in restaurent was brill we used the main pool which was lovely, plenty of sun beds aand the baby pool with slide was good for those with little ones, english breakfasts were great (7TL on beach front) but would recommend The Blue Moon just up road from hotel where breakfast was just as good but only 5TL. The Temple Bar/Manualas on the beach front was good had entertainment most nights and showed a good range of football/sports etc for those that wanted it, cant say much more but we are definately hoping to go back next year but for two weeks this time and we do not normally go back to the same place twice, this was one of the best holidays we have ever had x

Nice stay at the Summer Gardens. Like the changes, the balcony sun terrace, the small quiet pool has moved to a more sunny location.
Still some old faces to say hi to . Can not fault Faruk aka Taz. Excellent customer service.
Great shop now its extended and Murats handbag shop is inviting.
Ideal for families as the pool is great, lots of seating in the shade at the bar.
Clean rooms, great maids.
Great Turkish night and good food.

The Summer Garden Apart and Hotel was a lovely place to stay if you are staying in Bitez. There are 2 pools the best one by far is the main pool which has a children's water slide, the age limit for the slide is ages 3 - 12. The main pool goes up to 2 metres deep but the shallow water is 1 meter deep. At the bottom of the water slide the water is 42 cm deep. There is a massage room where you can choose between 4 different massages. You can have an hour massage which is 32 euro or a 1/2 an hour massage which is 20 euro. By the pool there are sunbeds and a bar where you can purchase drinks and I think that you can purchase snacks aswell. The drinks you can bye are things like coke, ice tea, alcholic drinks, juice and fizzy drinks. Every day at the bar there is a different alcoholic drink, including pina colada and a drink with vodka in it. Every night there is a different entertainment act. These include : a Turkish Night, Bendy Man, a Circus Show, a Snake Show, and a Fire Show. Bendy Man can fit himself into a suitcase. BEWARE - WITH THE SNAKE SHOW AND THE FIRE SHOW, THE MAN WHO DOES IT, DOES GO INTO THE AUDIENCE AND ASK FOR VOLUNTEERS BUT HE UNDERSTANDS IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE. AT THE END OF THE SNAKE SHOW THE MAN WHO DOES IT GOES INTO THE AUDIENCE GETTING PEOPLE TO HOLD A SNAKE AROUND THEIR NECKS, BUT ONCE AGAIN HE UNDERSTANDS IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO HAVE IT AROUND YOUR NECK. Next to the hotel is a shop where you can buy food, drink, alcohol, sunglasses, souvenirs, cigarettes, cigarette lighters, chewing and bubble gum, lilo's and things for the pool, ice cream, and english newspapers and magazines. The rooms are perfectly clean as is the bathroom. My family was split into to rooms even though we were a party of four, but we had no reason to complain as we were only in the room for sleeping, showering, using the toilet and changing.The staff are very lovely and all of the staff speak english.

Having read prevouis reviews we were concerned what our holiday at the Summer Garden appartments/ hotel would be like. Having just arived back today 28/08/2011 we can honestly say that having travelled for the past 20 years this was one of the best holidays we have had. The apartments although basic ( which most are in turkey) were cleaned regualy and were sufficent for anyones needs. The staff were more than helpfull. There was entertainment every night, some nights better than others. Pool area very clean and could always get sunbeds. The beach was a 2 minuite walk where all sunbeds were free all resturants are along the beach all were very good but would highly recommend the almera and oculiptous. We were a family of four ( two tenage boys and two adults) and ate out for no more than £40.00 per night. Waterpark good value for money. We would definatly go back.
