“A Real Change”

We stayed at the Basri Bitez october 2011 and i must say things had changed dramatically from our previous visit. The aparts sported new double glazed windows, the overall standard had dramatically improved. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My partner was scratched by our daughters dog and ended up with cellulitis which made it difficult to walk, my partner was offered the use of a pair of crutches which helped her considerably. we were asked if we would like a downstairs apartment. nothing was too much trouble. i can happily recommend the basri as a great place to stay. All i can say is a great big thankyou to all the staff for making a difficult holiday a happy one.

“Our first experience in Turkey, and we made an excellent choice with Basri Apartments.”

This was our first trip to Turkey, with our friends Bob and Beverely.
We found that the Basri Apartments in Betiz, were situatated a short walk from the beach, but near to several very good restaurants.
The apartments were clean, but basic, which is all that was needed, with a bar that would stay open for as long as you you required drinks!. Nedim who ran the bar was extremley helpfull and spoke English very well, and was always ready to offer advice.
The owners Habib, and Melek, could not do enough for you, and Habib even organised a visit to a local Mosque, where we were shown around the village, and offered tea, and refreshments by the famil, before being allowed inside the Mosque.
We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and would recommend the Basri to our friends, and hope to return soon. Dave and Sandra

“Nothing wrong with this basic accommodation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We felt very relaxed in the small complex, the windows are double glazed keeping out the sounds of the barking dogs the cocks crowing and the call to prayer at 6.00am.
The kitchen area had a single hob, electric kettle and more than adequate crockery and cutlery for this type of accom. There is a single size frigdge with ice box.
Although the balcony is compact we did manage to put our round table out with 4 chairs.
The beds were ok could not get use to the pillows but not holding it against them, want more blankets just ask.
relax around the pool on a sunbed or drink at the bar, their own shop is next door for basics.
These apartments offer excellent value if booked independently, they are serviced daily. Those travellers who want carpets comforts, television look elsewhere.
The 18 apartments are spread over a ground and 1st floor,we booked 2 apartments and travelled mid october, which we found to be far to late in the season, next time we go further south.
We were unable to sample the food as the chef left 2 weeks previously.

“Would love to go back”

Enjoyed two weeks rest and relaxation in the Basri. Close enough to the sea front and all the shops, restaurants and bars but quiet enough to sleep well at night. Everyone at the Basri were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for the owners Habib and Melek.

Nedim you are a star and Colin enjoyed his time with you, both around the bar and out on the boat.

Also travelled with my daughter and her friend, both 16 who loved their room (specially the funky sofas) and could not believe a nice lady came in to clean their room every day and make their beds! This is a lovely option for families or couples - enjoy . . . . . . till next time.

Very friendly little place. Handy having little shop outside, Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Made breakfast for us on the 1st day well after midday, did not seem like anything was too much trouble for them. Pool clean, sunbeds well maintained and clean. Within 5 minute walk to the beach
