we stayed here last may and on arrival at 02:00 we had to find our own rooms after collecting the keys!!!!keep it simple
.food was same old every day
.drinks were served in small cups so we had to keep going back
.our room was cold and it rained for four days and water got in through the bottom of the door and flooded our bedroom as we were in a small bungalow.
.we had left our mobile phone beside the bar a friend we had met said she had saw a member of staff pick it up so i went to reception as said they had my phone the manager said no they didn't so i said i would get police and they soon made sure we got our mobile back and we did within 10mins from speaking to them.

there was no entertainment until the end of the may and thats when we left for home.
hotel is clean but i wouldn't go back!!!!!!

“Disappointing”

Upon arrival at this shabby hotel we'd paid for two rooms with a sea view and were given two rooms at the far side of the hotel, a 5+ minute walk from reception the restaurant and the pool. The paths were very uneven and we found ourselves tripping up on missing tiles or wires. We didn't actually get a view of the sea we got a view of rooms in front. We were made to carry our suitcases up and down the uneven stairs to get to our rooms. One of the passengers we travelled with has walking difficulties and this did not help. We were given one room with a double and single bed and one a few rooms down with 4 single beds, we made it clear we had wanted a twin room. We also noticed dirt around the door and there was about 2 inches chipped from the bottom of the door, this leads me on to the bugs we found in our room, very much a cross between a slug and a centipede, they were crawling up the walls
, on the beds and in the shower. We told staff at reception of our find, a member of staff came to our rooms and picked them up, merely telling us they were 'turtles' and leaving immediately.
We asked to move rooms the next morning and told there was no room and put in other rooms in the same area however they were cleaner, but it was smaller and had no balcony or privacy.
We went to the waterslide pool around 3pm on the second day through a very long path, which was inconvenient and dirty, about 20 steps upwards, when we got to the top we found the pool was deserted, the bar was closed and the waterslides weren't turned on. We got in the pool, as it was quiet, after swimming for a few minutes we noticed a rat running around the side of the pool, very close to the water. Unhygienic. We immediately ran out of the pool and left, where we then saw more rats on the stairs. Funnily enough we never returned to the pool.
Later that day we went for a look round the rest of the place to find that many things in the hotel were unused and were looking shabby with rubbish piled everywhere.
The food at the hotel was repetitive but surprisingly wasn't that bad. Although, the restaurant was always full, there was never anywhere to sit. Foreign people always came to sit at your table with you, which I thought was very rude. I dread to think what it would be like in the busier summer months. The fruit juice machines in the restaurant hardly ever worked so I found myself having to go to the bar to get fizzy drinks! Not something you should have to drink at breakfast!
The main pool was pretty overcrowded, not enough space and not enough sun beds. You had to get down early to get a good spot. We found that the foreign people around the pool gave you no space at all! they would come strolling down about 12pm and cram sunbeds up next to you so you could not move or even get off your sunbed. I kept on pushing their beds away so my children could get up to go in the pool but they were constantly pushing them back closer. The pool itself was always cold and not pleasant.
The pool bar was good with seating areas and plenty of drinks.
The snack bar was good if you like pizza and chips, it had a small buffet of salad, but not much else. Always crowded between 12-2.
The location was not good and too far away from everything. The problem with this is that the hotel doesnt seem to offer any entertainment to a good standard.
I would advise anyone against going here.

“Another great stay in Turkey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

This was our second visit to Turkey and we stayed here in July 2010 and had a fantastic week at the Kervansaray. The hotel facilities were great and everything that you wanted was within the complex. The complex is spread over a large area, which we liked as it felt more like a village than a large hotel.

There are 4 swimming pools to keep you entertained and one of these include an activity pool with water slides, which we used a couple of times and was a great laugh.

The staff at the hotel are so helpful and cheerful and nothing is too much bother for them. We had a large bungalow room which was really nicely decorated and very modern inside.

The beach on site, is a platform above the sea and you access the sea via steps. We used the beach area most of the time as there was a sea breeze which made the heat slightly more bearable in July, as the temperature was 47 degrees!!!

The hotel is a little out of the way but only a short dolmus ride away to Bodrum. The little yellow dolmus stops outside the hotel every 10 minutes and runs from early morning until 3am. The journey only takes around 10 minutes. Bodrum is a beautiful resort with it's huge harbour and castle, lots of lovely places to eat and great for shopping.

We had a fantastic time in Turkey and at the Kervansaray. The next time I go to Bodrum we will probably stay somewhere in town. I am one of these travellers that doesn't like staying in the same place twice.

I would not hesitate and recommend this hotel to everyone as it caters for all ages and groups.

Room Tip: Rooms in the main hotel have an amazing view

“Don't go at end of season!”

The Staff were extremely helpful, however everything was shutting down and it felt slightly as though we were unwanted guests that had outstayed our welcome, we were expecting to be given the hotel keys on the last day and asked to lock up on our way out!

In height of seaon this is probably a lovely hotel, although a little tatty in places (not 4+ Star).
Note to all people taking small children... the swimming pools are all sooooo cold ... the kids may need some other entertainment.. and at end of season there wasn't any!

Oh and good luck with the food too esp if your veggie... salad was lovely!

Room Tip: Some of the appartments are very far out from the main pool area... you would need to be able to wal...

“Stunning view”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

We had a great holiday and found the staff very helpfull. I booked this holiday for myself and my children and later added my partner and was told we would have to have 2 diff rooms by the tour operator. When we arrived I asked if it was possible for us to have a large room so we could be together. This was no problem and NO extra charge and they still gave us the extra room! I messed the safe up on arrival and straight away somebody came to help us. A few days into our holiday we found we were to cold with the sheet on the bed and asked for some duvets, same again within 10 mins the cleaners were putting duvets on the bed. The beds were very comfortable aswell. We did have about 3 days of rain but the kids were more than happy playing in the indoor poor and hot tub. We treated ourselves to a Turkish bath, massage, facial and fishes on your feet which was fab! We payed about £40 each for this and it was worth every penny. We stayed from the 13th-27th Oct which was coming towards the end of season. We were dissapointed as all the restaurants were closed for the end of the season and found we had enough of the food in the main restaurant after a week. Ice cream was between 3pm and 5pm and was lush, especially the lemon! The shop in the hotel rip you of so it's best to have a trip into Bodrum and stock up with everything you need/want. We did a boat trip into Kos which im glad I did as I now know not to have a holiday their. It was very expencive and very run down. We payed £30 for 2 english breakfast's with coffee, one bacon roll, 2 toast, a orange juice and bottle of water. The kids club was very good for my 5yr old son and both my boys enjoyed the mini disco. The entertainment was terrible, we actually stayed in a few nights. On the whole though 10days would have been nice at this hotel we found 14 days a bit to long here. Watersports are very good aswell and prices are not to bad. The best part of the holiday was the staff and the view. Nearly forgot to mention the fab photography shop in the hotel. We had lots of family photo's done which were gorgeous and well worth the money!
