We visited the Doria Hotel off season (late November) and found it very quiet. We liked that. But it did bring some downsides. For one the restaurant was of inconsistent quality, delivering excellent food at some points and mediocre performances at other times.
The staff were competent, attentive, and charming. Most had fine language abilities. The room (upgraded to a Delux double) was spacious with a lovely view. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and well equipped.
We had a great time.
What could be improved:
It would be good to advise guests to look for the sign “Gulluk” when driving down the main road to know when to turn off to find the hotel. If there are street signs in Bodrum, I never saw one, so it’s a challenge to know when to turn off. Without the mapping function of my iphone finding the hotel would have been quite a challenge.
