The Doria was an amazingly pleasant experience with a beautiful view overlooking the Aegean Sea -- beautiful sunrises and sunsets from our terrace! Superb breakfast menu seated by the swimming pool and looking over the sea below! The staff was professional, the room was spacious, the bathroom exceedingly large, and we had a great time. The only draw back was that we were told it was close to the center, which it was not, but there is a local bus line which takes you there for about $1.50 each way, very nice, comfortable and quick! So not a problem. The internet was not working well while we were there but they have surely fixed it! We would return again!!

We stayed at this hotel in July 2011 and had the most relaxing time ever. The staff were very helpful, the bedrooms were perfectly clean and beds very comfy. It is situated up a very steep hill and as we went out every day (on the local bus - great fun) walking back did wonders for our derrieres! Breakfast was always a massive feast, buffet style and catered for all tastes. The shuttle to the Doria Beach is well worth doing, didn't find it cramped or noisy, the lunches were great, and they often came round with a complimentary fruit cocktail which was always fab! The two pools were nearly always empty so felt it was my own private pool, and it gave you the opportunity to totally relax and chill. Stay here if you are fussy and like clean rooms! We are going back in 2012.

We stayed at the Doria in late September and had a wonderful time. It was just slightly offseason, so the beach and pool were both amazing without the crowds. We stayed in a Deluxe King room that had a stunning view and was well appointed. The staff worked tirelessly to make sure our visit was as pleasant as possible including making restaurant reservations, giving directions to taxi drivers and even providing a slight discount to compensate for a minor booking issue. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate. The food and service at the breakfast, beach bar and restaurant were all very good. Our personal favorite was the breakfast that included fruit, pastries, cheeses, nuts, muesli, eggs, meats, breads and yogurts. Should we ever return to Bodrum, we will certainly stay at the Doria again.

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a king size sea view room with our own terrace and sun loungers. The room was beautifully furnished, spacious and well designed, with an internal bathroom window also allowing views of the bay. We were more than happy being on top of a hill away from the touristy shops but a 20 minute walk from the strip of restaurants along Bitez beach. We didn't have any problems catching taxis or one of the many mini buses going into the Bodrum, including late at night getting back from restaurants on the Bitez beachfront. The choice at breakfast was impressive. The breakfast staff were friendly and attentive. The staff on reception were lovely and gave helpful advice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would come back again.
