“best girls holiday ever!!!”

dont listen to the bad reviews. me and 5 friends stayed here for a week in july 2011 and had a fantastic time. the hotel is nice with very friendly staff. the location is brilliant near all clubs, bars ect. the food wasnt amazing but the food never is no matter were you go, there was always some option like wedges, omlettes ect if you don't like meat, the club on the roof is amazin and want to go back this year. maybe not the best for families but very reccomened for young couples or groups who are looking for a cheap fun holiday.
if you choose to stay here please go to the red dragon restraunt its yummy!!
good hotel no problems.

“Actually The Worst Holiday Ive Ever Had!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Okay, so me and my partner booked a late holiday, which was my 18th birthday present. we had booked into the Mira Luna.
3 days before we were set to go, Thomas Cooks rings me and asks us to meet them in the travel agents.
The woman just told us we had to move hotel, didnt give us a reason, even when we asked for one. This annoyed me because i was wary about the new hotel. She started saying it was fantastic and was a 4* which would be an improvement. We checked online, this was a lie!
We went on the 24th of oct for a week. We arrived at around 2am on the tuesday. We were extremly tired so all we wanted to do was go to bed. Got to the room, bed was two twins, even though we had paid more for a double. Pushed beds together, didnt want to go argue with staff at 3 in morning. Got to sleep for around an hour until the staff started laying out the sunbeds at 5am in the morning! woke us up because we were in a room poolside. Also was freezing cold at night, fleeces provided but smelt of damp and urine. Unuseable!
Woke up, had a shower, blue means hot and red means cold in turkey apparently? so dont be surprised it you get a shock when you turn shower on. Also hot water took around 20mins to get to body temp. Our bin in bathroom was emptied twice in the week that we were there. Disgusting maintainence. Didnt give enough towels for each of us. Me and my parter suffered from 'turkish belly' dispite neither of us drinking a drop of water, we put it down to the maid washing our toothbrushes in tap water as they were damp when we came back to our room at night.
maids either didnt come at all or came four times in same day. once when myself was getting changed and a male staff member opened our door with the card, fortunately the bar was across the door, if it wasnt, he could of walked straight in.
This alarmed myself and my partner as many of the male staff members were ogling the female guest, not even in a subtle way.
Went on the pop-eye night out. Animation team male members and Hakan the bar man were grinding against girls that barely looked over the age of 16. Innappropriate. night out was a waste of 20lira, we stayed at one bar, the temple bar, and it was so packed you could hardly breathe.
Also we had been told by friends on holiday about members of staff smoking weed near the spa/gym. was the truth as many of the members of staff looked stoned most of the time.
Food was okay.
breakfast wasnt really that good. toast was what we lived on for a week.
dinner generally consisted of Turkey burgers and apple sliced potatoes (wedges to you and me)
One tea was exceptionally good when we had turkey.
never touched the desserts until 4th night, looked unnappetising.
Rep was useless, Charlotte.

The redeeming qualiaties of the holiday was the spa day that you could have, the pictures you could have taken, which we did, the tattooist, the location (it truly was stunning to see the sun set) and the company we kept.

Room Tip: If you stay up past 2am, pool side is fine if your a heavy sleeper, if not, ask for a reception room...

“Turkey burgers@gumbet.com!!”

This is possibly the wrong title of a review but is the truth. Me and my girlfriend arrived at the la luna late in the evening and were greeted with a cat mauling a bird to death as we left the reception. We were then taken to a room that seemed to be in a relatively suitable area but it was in the dark. Having payed extra to have a double bed walking into the twin room was a huge disappointment, the concierge then forgot to tell us he wanted a tip and just stood in the doorway for around 5 minutes.
One of the beds was clearly broken and could be heard from outside when someone sat on it. The following morning we were awoken by a ludicrously early maid service so we took the oppurtunity to go and see the breakfast and explore the hotel. Never before have i seen things from the previous days dinner used as breakfast for the next day, but this happened each day over our 7 day experience. The food was very repetitive and as the title states we had some form of turkey burger for every evening meal. The pool wasn't cleaned in any way until the evening we left and the staff were some of the rudest, most vulgar, innapropriate people ever encountered.
The only positive taken from this our first holiday together was that the people we spent the week with were very friendly and we couldn't have asked for better company. All in all i wouldn't advise people to book into this hotel because it is lacking in every area possible for a resort. People are much better of going to another area of Turkey because Gumbet isn't at all worthy of being given out free as a present let alone hundreds of pounds each.

Room Tip: Don't! Find a nicer area and hotel.

Me and my partner went to the la Luna hotel the last week in October , and I can safely say we WONT be returning again . We arrived early hours in the morning so we were tired and wanted to go to bed , after half an hour wait we got took to our room , by a young boy who wouldn't leave our room until we tipped him . The next day we went down for breakfast wher there was food warmed up from the night before . Dinner was the same and tea was too , flies were around the food constantly , if u like turkey burgers yourll love this place !
The pool wasnt cleaned the whole time we was ther , the staff wer rude , smelly and pervey !! No separate towels for sun beds we wouldn't recommend this hotel for a dog ! All staff wer smokin weed , was horrific especially when there was young children , was a disgrace

Room Tip: Sort it out , it's makin you like terrible
